Absolute sketch comedy gold!! These guys were like demigods to me in the ‘80’s, so many brilliant characters and sketches, one of the greatest comedy ensembles ever IMHO. So much talent in this cast, maybe the best ever- certainly rivalling the legendary Belushi, Aykroyd etc troupe.

The way it is just comedy and then it goes so surreal, like you suddenly find yourself in a completely different universe, is mysterious, magical, just genius. The characters somehow take on such deep archetypes or something and the writing is deathly serious, what incredible art these people made together, unique, brilliant, and with total lack of pretense.
