I met Todd Carney about 10 years ago when he was playing for the Cronulla Sharks. Two teenagers girls nervously asked him for a photo. I was impressed by Todd’s reaction. He was very humble about the whole situation and made the girls feel instantly comfortable. I quickly said hello to him after this. I was surprised by his willingness to converse and his interpersonal skills. It’s nice to see he’s doing well for himself and doing meaningful work by mentoring young men.

That was an exceptional interview of the genuine honest Todd Carney. You interviewed Todd extremely well, no judgement of him and accepted Todd. Todd is such a likeable character, a compassionate giving guy of himself. Great interview

Some blokes aren't as fortunate post footy either they sustained too many knocks or they can barely walk but Todd Carney is a survivor. He come out the other side he's quit the drink and look out. The real heroes do it every day.

Hands down one of the most naturally gifted footy players in recent years. He had everything and moved with such balance and grace. And now doing very good things. A good man.

Why doesnt the NRL employ people like Todd and put them into roles where they work with a number of people from pros, to young men and women in the game to support them when it comes to addiction and self-destruction? This guy is superb talking about this stuff. Imagine the difference he could make to people. Granted he is already making a difference with the young folks up on Gold Coast

Great interview. Shows the importance of good male role models for young kids who are distanced or lost their fathers. Whilst he didn't mention it I am sure there's a part of him that doesn't want to see his son fall into a similar trap.

Such a gun player! His 2010 season was one to remember. U should have asked him about that semi final against tigers! he got absolutely smashed early in the game these days would be taken from the field. Then setup two tries to get them into extra time and win.

Great player, could've been even more than what we seen but done some silly shit, having said that I think his "offences" were blown way outta proportion, similar to Mitchell Pearce.

Always been a massive fan...both on and on field. Yes, the bubbler was a bit weird, but as a young lad my mates and I did many silly things on the drink. Always thought his banning from NRL was nonsense, and way out of proportion to what he did.

Good on him for helping kids now days but Carney was never hard done by. Made all.his poor decisions himself. Used to run around shitty Goulburn with his cousins and act like kings and bash people but were gronks in disguise. Common theme in Goulburn.

He didn't nothing compared to what others done in the game bash women or guys getting sent to prison then getting out straight to NRL club Carney was hard done by he's one of the good guys diffently have beer and chat with him
@moh-tuk2350 Жыл бұрын
@@glennconnell6785 I reckon your right. The stuff that was in the media he was definitely hard done by, truthfully I though he was a mad dog for the shit he done. Drinking your own piss....cmon only a mad dog would do that. The elite of the elite piss heads. I just heard he was a fuckwit from someone who lived in Goulburn but that guy was a fuckwit so I guess im not really in a position to make the comments I did. If your reading this Mr Carney I apologise.
