69 c10 temperature gauge fixed

Thanks for the video. A couple of things that might help. These trucks came without any gauges and the sending unit is either on or off. when on the truck is hot. The sending unit lights the idiot light only. There is a sending unit for with gauge and one without gauge. Another thing is I believe that your battery gauge is working. When you started the truck the gauge moved to the right slightly (.021 on the video). This is what it is supposed to do because the gauge is an amp gauge not a volt gauge. When the battery is fully charged the gauge is straight up because the voltage regulator trims it down to zero until it needs a charge. To test the gauge just turn your headlights on without starting the truck, the gauge will move slightly to the D side. leave the lights on for a short time and then start the truck. The gauge will move to the C side then quickly move back to the middle straight up. I am second owner of a 1970 C/10
