How sad for you Oleg but really happy that you are ice skating with Ashley Bain and Nicole Takahashi - any chance of persuading either of them to make a video of the 22 step for your video fans? How is Kseniya getting on? I love watching ice skating videos and they are so helpful for us mature ice skaters to understand what is needed for a dance. I just couldn't get the second open mowhawk in the starlight but then suddenly realised I'd not registered sufficiently it needs to be an inside edge - I was so obsessed with skating outwards that it became an outside edge and I was also too used to doing the 14 step...Of course if I'd paid full attention to your excellent video I would have realised a bit earlier...Thank you again for the videos. I would be happy to subscribe a small amount to help support your skating videos.

I find these videos invaluable for learning dances. I am sad that Oleg and Kseniya are not skating together anymore. Who are they skating with? On a completely different point, does anyone know of a good video of the 22 step?

Hi CoGasSafety, Oleg here. After five years together, Kseniya decided to move on after the 2017 US Nationals. I continued to compete, doing the 2018 US Nationals with Ashley Bain, the 2019 US Nationals with Nicole Takahashi, and now skating again with Ashley Bain.

Hi, I'm having a little trouble seeing where Kseniya's free foot comes in on the open mohawks. Is it to her instep, her heel, or just behind the heel?

She's doing open Mohawks, so instep. For closed Mohawks you would place the free foot behind the skating heel.
