Thanks, It took awhile to get it to this point just need to get the Tachometer fixed. Besides the Pypes exhaust, it has 3 tube ceramic headman headers and a Ram Air 4 distributor, Stainless steel valves, forged pistons and an Extreme K&N induction filter.

i had a 69 gto and was the 2nd owner, all original 350 horse 400 with 411 posi and the strandard 3 speed manual.never understood the guy who ordered it new,got the hood tach, got the 411's,got power antenna, but didn't check the 4 speed box.o well it was a great car anyway and took me over 10 yrs trying fore the old guy finally sold it to me.lost the car 8 yrs earlier in a shop fire.car was a melted mess of metal, total loss but kept and restored all drive train.i said all that to say this.it's now all sitting nicely in a 1978 z28. and yeah it sounds pretty close to this one.

1969 GTO's were never made with '4.11's". Went to 3.90 and straight to 4.30

There is nothing like the rumble of a 69 GTO judge . You can fire it up 3 blocks away and heads will turn. That car is about as good as it gets . A true street legend . “Here Come The Judge”

I alos have 69goat with 2.5 Pypes. Street mufflers with x pipe. It is not a sleeaper by any means with this set up. Nice ride.

what RPM is it idling at and would you consider 1.65 roller rockers with this cam? I have a 1964 389 in my 1969 Custom S with 1.65 roller rocks and would like to add this cam. it sounds perfect. I also have a holley 750 DP with a RPM Performer Intake, headers and flow master exhaust. we are going to add a 100hp NOS kit to her this week to have some extra power on demand. I'd like to run in the high 12's with this setup.

Not even close, Robert.I know because I've raced both engines in stock form.The RAIII in a 67 GTO and the RA IV in a 64 GTO vert.3.90gear in the 67 and 3.73 gear in the 64.13.60's in stock 67 and 12.50's in the 64 vert.67 was a coupe,so weight is about the same.Not in the same league.
