Last Turn-Stein OTK hybrid decks are scary strong. Last Warrior is an alternate monster to Jowgen. Megamorph can be used to help manipulate your lifepoints into Last Turn range. For online Mind Crush is ruled so that you don’t view your opponent’s hand. Same goes for any similar effects like Royal Tribute. Big Bang Shot seems overlooked for many aggressive decks with Trunades. It can out problem monsters and then you still get to use it. I side it in my Panda Burn deck which has Lily, Shield & Sword (with a number of high defence monsters), Snatch Steal and United We Stand. In combination with one or more of those Big Bang Shot can be very good. Reasoning Gate has to keep Scapegoats vs burn decks. Against Panda Burn you can stick it onto their Panda and any damage it deals to defence monsters, including tokens is dealt to them instead. Their own Trunade if they choose to use it will banish their monster. You can also attach it to a Trio token and use Trunade to free up a monster slot.

Huge +1 to My Body as a Shield. I built a machine monarchs deck that uses Blowback Dragon and Jinzo, and My Body is a great tool for keeping tribute monsters around where the advantage isn't immediate like Zaborg and accumulates over several turns. It is also great for enabling Limiter Removal pushes, and is really good to have in a deck with Royal Decree so you can still have some semblance of protection that isn't a trap.

Nice video! Also what do you think of Fairy Box? In my opinion can be a very intimidating card that force your opponent to "not take the risk" of losing a monster in battle and take the full battle damage. Another card I'd love to see in a video is Ordeal Of A Traveler; both cards are continuous, and their effect can be applied multiple times per turn. Theese cards have literally zero negative consequences and they could be a pain in the ass.
@CloudMountainJuror5 ай бұрын
I think Fairy Box may be usable, but Ordeal seems bad because it gives your opponent information and they can still call it right, so they may basically get information for free. It also gets much worse the less cards are in your hand.

Fairy Box has this weird problem where the best decks for it have lots of small creatures (Don Zaloog, DDWL, Mystic Lvl 2, Sasuke Samurai # 4 if you want to be cute, etc...) which means they don't close out the game very fast, which means the 500 lp payment actually becomes relevant.

Fairy box have 2 problems, 1.-You only use it when you are losing and noboby want a card for when you are losing and 2.- You need your opponent to attack. But you are correct, Fairy Box is amazing, and deserve a place in the list, but i kinda feel like it work better in other formats, like Edison, where the field can get full of monsters, so you can use the effect multiple times for turn and save you of a lot of OTK or big monsters, i once kill a FHD with a marshmallow using Fairy box, in goat everything is slower and the potential of fairy box is limited. Ordeal work in low level play, but in high level suck, again, you need your opponent to attack, you need a big hand size and your opponent can abuse it by bouncing back cards like flips, breaker, stein and a lot of cards you want to protect in your hand or are useless in the field after use it.

@enchorialdude27214 ай бұрын
There is a deck in Goat which people don't pay much attention to but can cook a lot: Dragon Beat Down. First, dragons can run a lot of backrow removal. You run staples like MST, Dust or Heavy plus 3 copies of Stamping of Destruction. You also have Masked Dragon, which is the only recruiter that can summon in def possition and it can go into Armed Dragon lv3 which goes into lv5 (this has a good monster removal effect). You have Lord of D., who makes your dragons untargetable by book of moon, ring of destruction, BLS and Chaos Sorcerer. Then you have Rising Air Current, the field spell that gives 500 atk to wind monsters and goes really well with the Armed Dragon lineup and vanilla wind dragons like Luster Dragon. I personally run a variant of this deck with Red-eyes B Dragon and the Chick that lets you summon it (can be searched with Masked Dragon). It's not as consistent as the pure wing dragon version, but I've been able to beat meta decks like Chaos Turbo, Control, Gate and Warriors.

@@soundwave9560 You can do with 3x Masked Dragon, 3x Luster Dragon, 2x Armed Dragon lv3, 2x Armed Dragon lv5, 1x Twin Headed Behemot, 3x Stamping of Destruction, 2-3 Lords of D (I run only 2), 3x Rising Air Current, and you can run Armed Dragon lv7; However, he is a dead draw 'cause he cannot be normal summoned unlike lv5. It's strong when it hits the field being a 2800 atk (3300 with the field spell) and basically a Raigeki on legs that can be protected by Lord of D (I personally don't run it). Fill the rest of the deck with generic staples like Sangan, Magician of Faith, Pot of Greed, Gracefull Charity, Mirror Force, Call of The Haunted, etc. You can make several variants of this deck. As I said before I use a Red-Eyes variant, but you can run a Blue-Eyes variant with Kaibaman, and Rota and Shining Angel to search him while you take advantage of cards like Stamping of Destruction, A Wingbeat of Giat Dragon, and Dragon's Rage (gives piercing to all dragons).

Goat format might not be advanced format yugioh but mind crush rulings are still advanced when you play official time wizard 8 man pods at YCSs. While they use the rulings of the time, things like revealing hands/decks with NoC & Mind Crush aren’t allowed because it’s not in the spirit of the card how they intended. Policy VS ruling thing & apparently there is a distinction whether we like it or not.
@GoatDuels5 ай бұрын
It absolutely was in the spirit of how the card was intended. Mind Crush and Trap Dustshoot were both quite popular from 2007 to 2011, and Mind Crush was always ruled to be "similar to Trap Dustshoot" in that you could take a reasonable amount of time to memorize your opponent's hand after the card resolved. That's just how the card was played then, and if you're ruling something different, then you're deliberately saying that you don't want to play the authentic version of that format.
@Nickrarri4 ай бұрын
@@GoatDuels I agree, but unfortunately there is incentive to play by Konami policies because sanctioned events is how Goat format is played IRL 99% of the time at OTS & YCS/Regional 8 man pods. So if you’re not practicing for how you will play in events, it’s poor practice. Just like how modern end of phase time rules are used despite not being true to the format or ideal.
@GoatDuels4 ай бұрын
The whole point of Goat Format was always that it was a grassroots format that does not bow to the wishes of Konami. The community can play however the hell it wants. I'm sure we could find plenty more of wrong rulings that the time wizard events play by, but that doesn't give those rulings any additional merit.

1. IMO Magical Merchant is the best 6th light in Chaos Turbo. Milling from the top of a randomized deck is the same as milling from the bottom so for every game you mill your BLS and lose there will be another game where you mill into your BLS and win. It's a non-situational 1-1 that seldomly hits Sinister. Sasuke, Azura, Blade Knight can be good sidedeck cards, and DDWL is half a light, but if I'm playing 2 Sorc I want 6 lights and that means Merchant game 1. 2. I've been enjoying a small burn package in Earth Aggro with Ceasefire, Reflect Bounder, and Magic Cylinder. I wanted to main Wanghu which means I don't want to main Mystic lvl 2 (Injection is already a non-bo) so Ceasefire helps cover up some of those emergent problems. Basically the experiment is to play a deck that sheds some -1s, but doesnt throw its whole hand at the opponent's life total. That way I can play Morphing Jar and Cyber Jar and not feel bad when I don't draw them.

Most of the cards in your list are already used in GOAT, so, no underrated. You miss some huge really understaed cards, like lighting vortex or mass diver as a side deck (it's great against panda burn, stall strategies and to close some games). IMHO, the most underrated card in the format is ultimate offering, the card can be huge in some decks, you can summon more than once for your turn, so, multimple monsters to end the duel or easy Jinzo or monarchs, also, the hability of summon in your oponent turn is amazing, you can disrupt with tsuko, monarchs, also you can safe summon some cards in your opponent end of the battle phase, like flips or those cards you need to survive for a combo or prevent a OTK and of course, bait torrential/botomless. Another card card i want to try is Graverobber, i feel like it have a huge potential in GOAT but everyone is afraid of the 2000 cost, but graverobber is like having multiple extra spells in your hand and with the trinity in GOAT this can be huge, also cards like Heavy storm can change the game, even a NoC, also, the chance of disrupt your opponent MoF, i mean,paying just 2000 life point for a extra copy pot of greed or graceful or even 3000 for a duo? Sure, no problem.

Jurai gomo?
@alexb.13723 ай бұрын
Using Jirai Gumo with Last turn and hope to win is the worst advice ever. There's 99% no hope unless you activate Last turn after your opponent normal summon for turn and they really don't main any monarch,jinzo etc. If you activate it before he normal summons he can just choose to special summon sangan (mystic tomato searchers also work) and get a monster summon it and worst case its a draw.
@GoatDuels3 ай бұрын
The most popular deck in the format (Chaos) immediately loses to Last Turn + Jirai Gumo, because they do play cards like monarchs or Jinzo. Sangan is not an issue, because as you pointed out, you can just activate your Last Turn after your opponent has already normal summoned. Recruiters are also very uncommon in modern-day Goat Format.
