#69 Rob's Hampshire Pub Walks ( The Southampton Common & Old Cemetery Walk)

One of my Hampshire walks in the City of Southampton. This walk explores Southampton Common and The Southampton Old Cemetery. Discover the final resting place of a true aviation pioneer and his tragic death. Find out why over sixty elaborate and expensive graves contain no bodies.
This Hampshire walk is packed with interesting history and unexpected beauty and is great for all year walking and walking with kids.
I'd like to dedicate this film to all those that perished or suffered due to the foundering of the RMS Titanic, rich or poor, but especially the many crew members from Southampton and the onboard staff of The Royal Mail. You cannot underestimate the devastating effect this sinking had on the city and surrounding area.
This walk starts and finishes at either The Cowherds or The Bellemoor Tavern . 4 miles approx.

One of the things I love about your videos is that you narrate them. So many “walks” videos are unnarrated … so I don’t learn anything. How wonderful it is to live in England. You have history every five feet. It’s impossible to plan a two-week vacation and see it all. Thanks to your videos, I’m seeing the places I missed. Bravo!! Thanks very much!!
