Some very unusual liveries there.. never see anything like them where I live in the Midlands. Great filming of unusual movements. I to remember the original Kestral. Many thanks for an eye opener video for me.. Dave from Coventry.

I was luvky enough to see the original Kestrel running passenger service through Reading in the early 70's

That certainly must've been an interesting sight

@@photographerjamie indeed it was. A variety of traction and always something interesting turned up. Have to say I'm not a fan of the ubiquitous class 66 that seems to be everywhere

I think none of us are, the only 'variety' is a different coloured shed or something like a test train 😂

Great footage! I really must try and visit Tonbridge yard some time! Could I ask what camera and lens you were using here? The picture quality is great!

Thanks for your kind feedback, I really appreciate it! Tonbridge is definitely a great spot to visit, especially for the Class 73 locos. For the videos I used a Panasonic HC-V700 And for the photos I used a Nikon D3200. I used the standard 18-55 lens for some pictures but mainly used my Tamron 70-300 lens for the others. Thanks for watching!

@@photographerjamie I love the GBRf 73s - definitely need to get up there! Ah that's cool, thanks for the camera info. Funnily enough that is the exact same camcorder I have - I haven't used it in a while and forgot how good it was! 😂

I got mine a while ago and was quite surprised by how well it performed, good little camcorder for its age I must say 😂

@@photographerjamie Agreed! I think I've had mine at least 10 years and am glad I bought it, the zoom is particularly good isn't it! :)

69012 looks fantastic; however, I wonder why they could not keep the original name (56077)

@@ianmacdougall8229 Not entirely sure myself either but it's probably because of the livery it was painted into which commemorates the Class 53 named Falcon. At least that's my guess haha Thanks for watching!
