69th Grand National Roadster Show (2018) - Grand-Daddy Drive-In Highlights

Classic car owners that don't have an indoor display at the GNRS can cruise in and display their cars outside on Saturday and Sunday. The rides that show up at the Grand Daddy Drive-In are just as cool as the cars displayed indoors!

All the car's truck's are top shelf, I like how on the lil red roster has Raido Flyer painted on the frame.

Great car show, thanks for sharing. The thing I like about the cars outside is they get driven there and they get driven home. The cars inside are mostly trailer queens.

Is that because they drag the ground so can't be driven due to bumps in the road, rail road track and speed bumps?

That Hudson was GREAT. I never like exactly that style of hardtop creation. I like a wider pillar area. But that aside, look at the quality of body work and paint. And Hudsons besides being a rare choice, they are surprising difficult to customize in a really satisfying way. The Hudson engines were so heavy, due to they being high quality chrome steel, that a lot of guys used HEMI"s (usually set back 6-12 inches) Hudsons had GREAT cornering/handling with sway bars front and back, easily canted rear springs and dual brakes mechanicals built over the hydraulic system. Bruce Crower, prior to his becoming known for his cam company, had one of the most famous Hudson rods with a big 6-71 blown Hemi...back in the 50's his Hustling Hudson did over 101 mph in the quarter....

I'm from Australia & some of these cars are great & others not so great. I did like the Red '32 Ford Roadster but would much prefer the added look of fenders on this sort of car as we do here in Oz.
