I honestly don't understand how, in maybe four or five years, a drumline can go from a perfectly decent drumline with a fine book to an absolute beast (pun intended) of a drumline with one of the weirdest yet coolest yet hardest yet most wonderfully executed book I've ever seen... Like I literally just have no clue how this happened but it's so cool to watch

Super stable drum corps + A percussion staff that's given creative freedom and has a great design team in place + a consistent yet evolving culture and identity + groups at all levels taught by a core group of staff who have been together for years feeding into the talent pool accessible by Crown = this The people running Crown's percussion program are among some of the most innovative and passionate people in the entire marching arts community. Same formula at Bluecoats, SCV, and BD, among others.

This drumline is basically flawless. Jesus Christ. So god damn amazing. Hard work pays off. What an amazing vibe.

Of all the corps at the recent world championships, Carolina Crown had the highest total music score. They were 1st in brass, which isn’t surprising, and 4th in percussion. That placing for their percussion line is an awesome improvement for them. This corps is woefully underrated and to me they should have gotten a medal.

That intro man. That is just insane. Also I think they take the crown (heh, no pun intended) for most handsome snareline this season. 😆

A lot of people don’t realize this but their center quad player (a good friend of mine named Ozzy) was actually only 19 years old during this season. He’s a beast!

I still think my favorite part of the whole video is hearing the jingle jangle of all the DCI and WGI chains at 6:38.

First of all ... Great footage. Very thankful for this channel. Everyone should be subscribed. Secondly, this snareline's sound is so confusing. Very wet sound for 7 talented drummers. They lock into the roll sound very very well, demonstrate a unified technique and manage space like true pros. Not to mention, their shots sing the same pitch. No dissonance because of misplaced shot zones. I'm hearing a fair amount of quality lost in attacks and releases. Only on the drum, again the rim/shot sounds is superior to most groups. Then Having said that I wasn't able to catch them live. Word to team tonal for adding many great section moments. Kudos all around. REALLY excited for 2020 Crown Drums! Hannum never disappoints.

this quadline is so together. very underrated, but their parts are not nearly as hard as the blue devils or cadets lines.I think the snares sound dirtier than they are from the tuning of the drums and how the tone lasts longer when they play the faster parts.

They sound way better in this video than other ones online
