It's not Dj'ing It's a live performance, u need the right sounds, like the kicks, hi hats etc... and the right music tools

From there he needs to set the sounds, in what rhytm they need to play, he also can change each sound a bit with the music tool. That was just a quick overview XD. So live performance is very complicated at the beginning, but more fun than regular djing
