Bonsoir et vive l’empereur! Very nice 6mm French. How do you paint an army so small like that and still capture the details?

Thankyou, it was a Labour of love for many years with fits and starts. Some of those models went to Scottish lodge and were painted on my honeymoon!

What rules are you using again? I’m stuck in choosing, a rule book that gives army formations, and division listings and generals, for all major nations.

Hi there. I use Principals of War, that has extensive lists. I also use Black Powder and my own homebrew rules based on warmaster but using the turn sequence from the John tilletd waterloo computer game. As long as both sides are based the same and I can represent the formations, I don't get too hooked up on basing.

I have also done games where I played a game, but used at my lists from another rules set. Again the lists in Principals of War guided my collection for waterloo for example.

@@Unclecthulu Nice... I want to start early war 1805 or even further down 1798, than move up in time. Like a mini campaign in sorts.

Youi might have said it but not english speaker, wich bases sizes are you using ? I have 2.4 on 1.2 cm (1 inch on 0.5) seems to be quite the same

It was a base just big enough for 2 strips of Baccus miniatures. I no longer have the army to check.

I have a question…..I have a starter box of epic napoleonics on the way and I have just finished ACW box. For ACW I did three bases of infantry for a regiment…..but I need advice about different ways we could approach the battalion make up for epic napoleonics….. Could you do me a video with your thoughts please? I’m currently thinking braking the strips in half and doing 3x 30mmx20mm for a battalion, but if this is a silly idea please let me know because it’s a lot more work 🤪

I am just going to keep as is. 4 bases for a standard battalion. then 2 small and 1 tiny. 6 for a large. 5 heavy cavalry per base and perhaps 4 light cavalry to a base. Cavalry will be 3 bases standard, 2 small and 1 tiny.

@@Unclecthulu thank you are there any other manufacturers that will fit epic scale napoleonics?
@Unclecthulu2 жыл бұрын
@@xerjinxerjin6170 not that I have looked for, since the range so far looks pretty good. I did see some old minifigs figures, I was thinking of if I needed some different command.
