The Carving Social Club tutorials have been designed and developed so you can learn everything about Surfskate and evolve on your surf as fast as possible.
Alvaro, one of the founders of the club, shares with us all his knowledge acquired in more than 20 years dedicated to surfing, and how he applies it now on Surfskates.
In this sixth chapter, we present "First steps in the skatepark and bowl". All the knowledge we share here with you applies to any Surfskate brand: Carver Skateboards, Smoothstar, YOW Surf, Swelltech Surfskates, Slide Surfskates, Triton de Carver, Miller Division, Hydroponic or any other brand as long as it is a Surfskate.

The surfskate is getting more attention. However there are no so much updated contents on the internet. Would like to see more drills and tutorials to guide beginners to establish the correct habit and muscle memory. It would be wonderful if drills and tutorials can be provided for both on flat ground and bowl/ramps (which might mimic surfing better?). Thank you again for your sharing!

Hola, gracias por mirar nuestros tutoriales y comentar. Dependerá de lo que busques hacer en el bowl, cuenta que mientras más duras las ruedas más velocidad. Nosotros no solemos volvernos tan locos con el tema ruedas, nos enfocamos más en el giro del eje.

Hola, está muy bien para haber aprendido por tu cuenta. Intenta ser más consciente de tu mirada y mira hacia donde estás yendo, imagínate las olas y míralas. E intenta meter un poco más la rodilla trasera cuando hagas los giros de espalda, te dará más estabilidad.

Hola buenas tardes, C7 y CX, son los modelos de eje que usa la marca Carver Skateboards en concreto. Para este vídeo hemos usado la marca Slide que tiene un solo eje, y sería similar al C7 de Carver. Y sale también casi al final unos giros con un modelo de la marca Smoothstar, que tiene un sistema diferente de giro.

Que es surfskate?

Hola, un surfskate es una modalidad de skate, lo más parecido al surf fuera del agua. Existe hace unos 23 años aproximadamente. A diferencia del skate tradicional y el longboard, el eje delantero de un surfskate gira y en algunos casos vascula, lo que permite que puedas generar velocidad con tu cuerpo, sin necesidad de dar la típica patada de skate o longboard, y puedes hacer giros cerrados para entrenar maniobras de surf. La forma de la tabla también es diferente a la de los skates y longboards. Son muy divertidos, muy funcionales para entrenar surf y fáciles de usar aplicando la técnica correcta.
