Descriptive:- One more disheartening news has come in front of us. The Air India Vande Bharat flight coming from Dubai to India has crashed in Kerela's Kozhikode international airport. The flight was carrying 191 people including 2 pilots and few crew members. Unfortunately, both the pilots- Captain Deepak Vasant Sathe and first officer Akhilesh Kumar have sacrificed their lives to save the rest of the members and have become battle casualties. Reasons for the crash:- 1. Overshooting- when a plane lands, it requires at least 700-800 metres runway before stopping. But due to heavy rain, the plane landed after 300m and had only 400m to decrease the speed which eventually led to breaking of the boundary walls and crashing of the plane . 2. Table top runway- when the airport is at a height, due to overshooting, sometimes the plane falls in the deep gorges. 3. Absence of arrester system. Solutions:- 1. Under the UDAN scheme ( ude desh k aam nagrik) airports were to be made with best infrastructure. Now we are in an urgent need of its implementation. 2. The runway length should be increased for these airports. 3. The best improvement can be done when govt collaborate with the pilots as they know the problems at the Grass root level. Thank you.

Descriptive 👇 The Kozhikode air crash in Kerala has left more than 18 dead including pilot & co- pilot. A dozen of the passengers are still in critical condition & several others injured. It is a hope that once family is waiting their family members which should not be neglected. √ There is need a well-developed infrastructure of the top table airport, special safety measures need to be overlooked because these are they different from the normal airports. √proper connectivity with the crew members even in a bad weather, it should be diverted to other safer point of a normal airport. √ the Civil Aviation Ministry should make a full disclosure on the technical evidences gathered, the integrity of which will be scrutinized by safety organisation worldwide. √ the enactment of policy with respect to the better infrastructure development of the airport must be done. These incidents rigorously puts a question mark on the safety regulations as well as on India's reputation at the global level. Hence, it must be taken into considerations. the tragedic incident happened with the Air India flight comes from Dubai to India in Kozhikode is some how inevitable result. the reason behind is some where lack of infrastructure facilities, protection guidance, lack of information technology services of indian Government. the points which needed to be focused on are - 1. ministry of aviation should added some instrument or machine fit into the plane which inform the unfavorable conditions during landing through which pilots and other employees are ready to face and to overcome the problem. 2. infrastructure facilities needs to be upgraded . like broaden the area, observation of signal plates made to be high so that passengers can easily find the timing of outgoing and incoming flights. 3. during meteorological problem, there will be a system in the airport which tracking the location of flight and ensure the safety and inform the looming conditions comes across . 4. Ensure the safety of pilot, give them extra facilities and services through which even in the case of any adverse conditions comes they can inform quickly so that adequate measures easily taken by the ministry. 4. If we see in United State of America and other European countries , meterial like EMAS is used in the runway edge which retarded the speed of plane due to friction and helps to avoid damages . India needs to introduce these materials to combate such incidents happens due to overrun .

Now, Kerala which has already been grappling from flood, is also having to face a new challenge of nature which is landslide. Western ghats are cover a deep long history of landslides. Kerala has been recorded with 67 major and some minor ones landslips from 1961-2013. National Landslides Susceptibility Mapping programme, works as mapping tge vulnerable areas which can have landslides. It marks some north eastern terrains such as Uttrakhand and Jammu &Kashmir how much vulnerable they are. Question arises when we have department and authority for forecasting of such accidents then why this happens...Lack of balance among priorities and improper foist of compliance is the key factor of these hazards. Rules and law are excised less hence people have to incur such avoidable casulities. Descriptive-- There are many development things which are pending due to some other reasons. We are exact on the way where we have to achieve our 17 sustainable goals by 2030 and in these goals most of relates to development infrastructure. Already there is huge problems in front of us like pandemic, economic crisis, flood, disasters and many more things. last day we herd about plan crash which is working under Vande Bharat Mission. Our citizens is coming from abroad to their homes in worst pandemic situation but cause of silly mistakes we lost about 18 lives. No one knows it will happen. Now another thing is flood in Kerala which comes in every rainy season. Although some action took for this disaster in some states and cities like in Karnataka there is a Meghsandesh portal which indicates flood, In Mumbai , Maharashtra there is iFlows ( Integrated flood warning system) app, also in west Bengal launched Bijli tracker (Indravajra app) which will alert before 45 min of thunder. These types of initiative we have to take for states also so that we save people from these. The Government should work on airport in hill area and also railways development. we have to balance our priority also have to look from every angle whether it is diplomatic relation with our neighbor countries like China, Pakistan or any pandemic, disaster . we should alert on every stage also work on development, government should make committees so that they work on it.

Descriptive: A heartiest condolence to all the people who were killed owing to the crash. On this Friday a heart felt incident happened at the time of repatriation of people from Dubai through AIE which face accident at the time of landing on a tabletop runway. The tabletop runways are situated over the plateu or terrain where limited landing place available, it's like tests of a pilot. Yet there is other reasons for the accident like heavy rainfall, dark night which might be a cause of the trouble. There are four tabletop runways in India. The previous air craft accident had at Mangalore in 2010 which is also a tabletop runway. So it seems like tabletop runways are comparatively less privileged than other runways. The government has to scrutinise various factors relating to making reliable air traveling and areas of runways especially in tabletop runways. Thank you sir.

"Safety deficit." Amidst the pandemic situation, every day adds new dimension of tragic events in country's history of 2020. The heart-wreching incident took place on Friday when the plane named Air Indian Express worked under the "Vande Bharat Programme" to bring back Indians stranded abroad on account to the COVID-19 crisis from Dubai overshot the runway at Kozhikode airport, Kerala. In this tragic crash, at least 18 people including two crew members lost thier lives while left many severely injured. The reason behind this tragedy were that there was the table top runway - which is kind of airport build on the top of the plateau or hilly surface, with one or both ends of the runway overlooking a drop and the heavy tailwind. Besides, The poor weather conditions, problems with visibility and absence of arrester systems that could stop an overshooting plane from failing off the edge led to this crash. Soon after the incident the rescue team and NDRF teams were there to help the injured however, it created traumatic situation for many that lost their Kith and kin in this crash. The Minister of Civil aviation has ordered to prob the whole situation and also announced to ex gratia to the deceased families. But the recent incident clearly showed that there is lack from civil aviation's end i.e. unsafe runways, lack of planning while dealing with bad weather conditions and alternative safety measures ect. That need to be addressed soon. It is not always about country's reputation but also lives of many that anyone can't afford to lose. Thank you.

Let's talk about airport infrastructure,bad weather condition and tabletop runway. The main reason for this incident is bad weather,visibility and absence of arrester system. after this horrible incident we should understand the problems which can occur anytime and anywhere,we should improve our infrastructure system. government should take crucial steps to improve the infrastructure of these type of runways where the situation is not so good. No doubt, Every air safety incident diminishes India's reputation as well as it's becoming an anxious thing for airlines, but the several questions arise upon the safety majors which kind of majors should have taken during landing airport. There are several people who have left their lives as well as many severely wounded, actually, it is not the first incident air crash in India but numerous example to crash actually the main reason of the devastation we don't learn past incident that is a massive reason of something. Now, the administration needs to scale up safety majors for the airlines so that the precautions should be taken on time immediately. Description 2... Landslide is a part of natural disaster . We cannot stop natural disaster but our authority can take ripple steps for prevention. Firstly landslides are caused by human activities, physical activities, deforestation, raining etc . The preventive measures which the government can do is under following: 1. Identify the landslide prone areas and confiscate it . 2. Deem the population of that area to shift in another area and government make offer them for employment. 3. Control the drainage which are left by industries and from other activities. 4. Avoid cutting of trees and plants more and more trees . 5. Retaining wall of the prone areas . 6. Regular monitoring checking of the possible doubted area . So these are some preventive measures which can be taken by government and the authority. This type of disaster must be managed properly before the things exacerbated. It takes off about thousands of lives and make people homeless . Descriptive 1- As the brothers named "Wright brothers" invented the airplane on December 17 1903 which created a ray of hope as the person who dreamt to fly in the sky like a bird. Every year India witness landslips in many region of the country including western ghats,north-eastern states,jammu and kashmir,uttarakhand.This year also a tragic landslip incident is happened in kerela,claimed 43 lives and rendered several homeless. The main reasons behind this incident are:- 1 quarrying and unscientific cutting of slopes into hills aggravates the risk of soil erosion. 2 There is no adequate provisions for draining rain water where slopes carved into hilly terrain. solutions:- 1 proper implementation of the state's disaster management operatus. 2 Allocating funds for preparedness ,are the key policy responses. Descriptive 2----- "Monsoon tends to snuff out lives" People's are suffering from various issues, dealing with Covid19, inflation and many other such issues. Situations are still not so well regarding to pandemic, the other side environment disasters are taking place day by day. In June, Nisarga(cyclone), occurred in Maharashtra and Amphan(Cyclone) took place in West Bengal. In july, flood took place near Brahmaputra river, Assam. And now, in "Idukki", Kerela. Many people lost their lives shelter and become homeless. According to geological survey, almost 67 landslides took place in Kerala. There is National landslide susceptibility mapping programme, whose objective is to help states and districts authorities incorporate the risk of landslides into zoning laws. Which divides states on the bases of their risks so that it would become easily to State to put an eye on the most risky area and could control the situation before it becomes disaster. Although these situations are not new. Everytime, when monsoon comes it brings landslides and disaster with it. Inspite of knowing the consequences that these situations generally takes place in monsoon but still there is no arrangements for such emergency. States must do all the arrangements before such situations occurs as " we cannot control the landslides but we can prevent ourselves from the disaster". Government should analyse the situation properly and make sure that no such cases occur again as each life matter. Thanks 😊

Amidst the situation of covid 19 pandemic, another tragic incident happend, where the flight skidded of on the runway of kozikode International Airport. The plane was an air india express aircraft as a part of vande bharat mission, its repatriation initiative of government to bring back expatriate from dubai, the flight carrying 191 people, where 18 people have lost their lives including pilot and co-pilot while remaining people severely injured, are being treated at hospital. the reason behind this accident is, the airport is situated at hilly mountains called table top runway which is dangerous for large aircraft , due to bad weather conditions and heavy rain the estimation of distance have failed, and its skidded off to the valley. its very sad and embarrassed, because same incident happened before 10 years, on mangluru Airport where 160 people have lost their lives. after that aviation ministry made, CASA(civil aviation advisory council) to improve infrastructure for table top runway but they didn't implemente any rules on it.There is a problem with light on this runway called center light to give better estimate while landing, but there had no such light, aviation ministry have to be improved such type of infrastructure. and make the runway condition safe.

Crash on Tabletop Airport . Intro :- last Friday Air India flight under Vandebahrat mission return from Dubai is crashed on tabletop airport of India kazhikhode (kerela ) . Main body :- This is not a first accident happen in India so many cases we heard and most of them are held in tabletop airport . Let me explain about tabletop airports which developed by overshooting or demising mountains and established on top of valleys . Where the metrological department cannot forecast the accurate monsson or weather conditions which resulted into this type of Crashes and accidents . In India there five tabletop airport in Mizoram , H.P, Sikkim , Mangluru , kerela . Last major crash we heard happend in mangluru 2010 Airindia flight ( Dubai -mangluru ) . Reasons behind Crashes :- ⭐ Generaly A plane when its land need 700-800 runway but on tabletop airport bue to shorter space or monsoon only cover 300m to runway where trained and skillfull pilots are required to handle it otherwise may result in accident . ⭐ During heavy monsson large aircraft can be landed on other airports rather than tabletop . ⭐ Lack of proper infrastructure on airport increase the risk of fights . Suggestions & measure's :- ⭐ Civil aviation mistry took effective and strong measures to look on the drwabcks due to which crashes happen . ⭐ Infrastructure need more assistant and proper development without single risk. ⭐ Airodrome should be developed near by . ⭐ Only special trained and skillfull pilot should be taken tabletop flights . ⭐ More and larger surface area should be constructed for runway during landing . ⭐ Bigger aircraft should not be landed on tabletop Airports . ⭐ Most of the services of Airindia should be either outsources or hand over to private sector . Descriptive 1 The Tragic Crash: In the midst of the pandemic another unprecedented incident happened in Kozhikode Kerala. An airplane take off from Dubai to India under 'Vande Bharat Mission' leads to accident at the tabletop runway in Kozhikode , Kerala. In which 18 people are died including pilots. The accident arises serious concerns over the safety measures taken by the aviation industry. There are several factors which lead to the tragic accident. 1) Tabletop runway: It is a runway which is built on the top of hill having one or both edges are steep areas. 2)The arrester system is not available on the airport which can curb the overshooting of plane. 3) low visibility 4)Heavy rainfall during night. some necessary steps will be required to avoid such incident. 1) Upgradation of airport infrastructure with world class safety measures. 2) Training of pilots to handle such situations.

A tragedy took place on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in Kerala when a passenger flight carrying 189 passengers coming from Dubai under the Vanade Bharat mission crashed at the time of landing in Kozhikode, Kerala, in this accident 18 people died including pilot and the co-pilot and 123 injured. Airport at which it was landed is a tabletop airport, these are the one’s made at the hill surface and an empty area of 200m left ahead of the runway in case plane could not stopped on the runway but on this airport instead of 200 only 75m area was empty because of land shortage. Recommendation for this had been already given in 2011 by the ministry of aviation in which said to arrange ground arresting system on these type of runways to avoid such disasters, this is not the first time such incident happen same was happened in Mangalore in 2010. In our country there are many tabletop airports in Sikkim, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh and if any accident took because of the human negligence then it is one of the biggest thing to concern as it costs hundreds of life, time to take measures so we can avoid any accident in future.

TRAGIC CRASH The recent accident rings an alarm to create a more safer air journey The accident in Kozhikode airport that killed 18 passengers including pilot and co pilot and left dozens of people in a disabled position is really very saddened that shouldn't have been occured . The passengers there were coming back to their home after a very long period as they were stuck due to the outbreak. The smiled face of their families turned into tears after hearing the very incident . Now the question which is yet unanswered about the major cause of the accident . Some are saying this is due to the heavy rain that blurred the vision of the pilots and push them to take an emergency landing and some are coming with different stories of the cause . Whatever happened is really aghasting and should never happen again , the same line was said after the 2010 aircrash . Here a concrete step is need of the hour to create a safer journey of the passengers . Some of steps that should be viewed by the civil aviation ministry are - 1. A proper infrastructure for air parking and landing . 2. Facilities for emergency landing. 3. Proper checking of parts and fuel before the planes take off . 4 . Plane should be taken off in the clean weather , risk should not be taken in such journeys. These are very few areas that according to me is in arrears and there should be a staragic steps to make a safer journey.

We all know landing is the toughest everyday duty of pilots, they have to take myriad precautions for it,tabletop airport and rain just make it a nightmare. Tabletop runways exist all around the world, but it adds to safety precaution . Kozhikode incident reveals that we have hardly improved anything after the devastating Mangalore incident. All the governing bodies associated with it deserve to blamed. now they are just condemning the situation . It was a very well estsblished fact that kozhikode lacks necessary safety measures. all the warnings fell on deaf ears. Why we are not proactive to a sitaution like this. Sustainable development is the way forward for continuation of human race. By breaching Environment regulations, we all will be besieged by man made climate disasters due to climate change. Environment regulations are pivotal for any development that take place. Due to unsustainable and irregular development in Uttrakhand, we all have witnessed havoc of nature in 2013 Cloud burst in Kedarnath, which take thousands of life. Similar such things are happening in Assam, West Bengal, Orissa etc. These states witness heavy floods and cyclone every year due to lack of management, improper development, improper drainage system, loss of plantation due to unregulated construction etc. Human race have to pay a heavy toll for all such unregulated development, in form of various climate hazards. All state and central authorities should work in co-ordination for bringing changes across nation for sustainable development goals. Such as, Delhi state government has come up with Electric vehicle policy , where citizen will be incentivised for purchasing Electric vehicle. We have come a long way and their a long way to go. An air India express plan with 190 onboard from Dubai overshoot Karipur tabletop runway and dropped about 35 feet into a gorge on Friday evening. Officials said 20 people, including pilot and co-pilot, have died in the accident and over 140 more are injured, some of them seriously. We don't know about the reasons for overshoot but the main reason which has been assumed by an official that is the tabletop runway. tabletop runways height is small to other runways. This is the second air crash disaster happened on the same airport, the first one was happened in 2010. This shows not made any changes in airport infrastructure. Amid the pandemic, this disaster causes Hazardous humanitarian & financial loss so govt. Should emphasize on precautionary factors to avert these kind of incidents. 'Secure yourself first and then help others' is a common concept repeatedly warned by he Airway Staves themselves. However, the recent tragic disaster at the Kozhikode Airport suggests the Airport Authorities there to follow it themselves. It is a known fact that a Flight's Take-off & Landing Stages are the most critical and crucial stages of its journey. Firstly, any normal landing runway should be at least 200m. So, no matter how much training given to special pilots, the Risk Factor remains high with such a low distance coverage. Rainfall is a secondary factor in such case as it was a known fact since 2011 when the danger of Deficient Runway Length was identified. So, the lack of management responsibilities over the past decade clearly proves that critical situations cannot be toyed with even the slightest. With loss of 18 lives including the co-pilots and a 1 year old baby, and several others injured, saying a sorry by suggesting that it should have been landed elsewhere is something that should and only should have been pre-meditated rather than post-crisis. The incident cannot be termed as an omen or a bad-day rather a complete failure in management and responsibilities. The flagged airport services should be discontinued head-on except for special emergency cases where a long runway is not required or passengers of common people not involved. In jist, special pilots deserve special airports only and special airports require highly responsible authorities. Critical activities and events always require the highest skilled personnel and in this case too, is no different.

Again one tragic incident occurs in Airport. On Friday, the Air India plane came from Dubai and during landing at Kozhikode airport it got crashed. The reason of crash was lack of visibility due to rainy season. But there can be many other reasons behind this incident. In 2010, a plane crashed due to fire in Mangalore. Many people were died and many got injured in this. And now the another plane is crashed. This clearly shows that we can not compromise with airport's infrastructure. The rainy season is also for all other airports but they have proper safety measures for this. In Kozhikode's airport the landing space is very short if we know that this can create problem then it is necessary to take a step regarding this so that we can prevent these kinds of incidents in future. These kind of incidents effects the reputation of India so the government should take it seriously and it is necessary to take steps for better infrastructure of airports. The government must be careful about the safety measures on the airports so that this will not happen again. Thanks

Descriptive The tragic crash of Air India Express in Kozhikode raised the question on safety of passengers in Flight. In Recent air crash 18 people lost their lives and many were badly injured. It is not the first time this type of incident happened last year also flight crash incident happened and similar incident happened in 2010 also and many people lost their lives. Despite of many incidents why Civil Aviation Ministry and Government not taking any steps to Stop this incidents? Why not proper safety measures were taken? Why not government working towards upgrading airport infrastructure and other machinery in Flight? And why Government awake after incident why not prepared well to avoid this type of incident? ∆Reason of Crash of Air flight 1. May be at this airport it is landing it is not have proper space for this type of flight landing. 2. It may be happened less visibility in monsoon. 3. Overshooting of flight may be some technical glitches or other issues. ∆Suggestion 1. Government and Civil Aviation Ministry should take a lesson from this incident and it is necessary to immediate focus in upgrading airport infrastructure. 2. Proper checking of flight safety equipment is necessary and other machinery which helps in increasing visibility during monsoon and smog to avoid this type of tragic incident. 3. Government should investigate about reason of this incident and work on that faults. 4. Because of this incident people are in fear and they will hesitate to travel in flight so government should ensure people about there safety.

Recently happened accident on Kozhikode airport has gathered much attention. The reason assumed behind the accident is bad monsoon weather. The plane slipped away from the runway and dumped into approximately 30 feet depth. Where 18 people died including 2 crew members and more than 50 were severely injured. The flight was coming from Dubai under “Vande Bharat” mission. The big question arises is, was there adequate safety measures. This is not the first time, many accidents happened in the past. Still there is no clear reason behind the accident at Kozhikode airport. When the accident took place the same day airport services were restored which means the reason was not only the bad weather. If the bad monsoon weather were the reason the air services should affect the whole monsoon season. There are many loop holes about the safety of airports infrastructure. The civil aviation ministry has not given any clear response yet. The authorities should take the responsibilities of infrastructures. There should not be accepted even 0.1% of carelessness. This is not the first time when the accident happened on the Kozhikode airport. Still not any strict measure has taken about the safety. These tragic incidents affect the reputation of India.

SAFETY DEFICIT: Plane crashed at Kozhikode Airport in Kerala, 18 died and many severely injured. This airport is slightly different from a normal airport. It is a tabletop airport. Flight was coming from Dubai. It was an Air India express 'Vande Bharat' relief flight. There were many Indians who couldn't quickly return home due to pandemic. So, after a long anticipation they were coming back. So far, visiblity problem is considering to be the reason for the accident. In 2010,similar kind of tragedy happened at Mangalore Airport. It was Air India express flight 812. Out of 160 people ,158 died and only eight survived. This was the first fatal accident involving Air India express. The only difference between these two accidents was that there was no post- crash fire in Kerala crash. Steps to be taken - # Transparent remedial action must be taken immediately. # Need of a full disclosure on the technical evidence gathered to be analyzed by the safety organization worldwide. # Safe airports nearby should be used in bad weather conditions. # No compromise on airport infrastructure. # Tabletop runways have very little space and therefore require more safety measures. Every air safety incident reduces India's image worldwide. So government needs to prepare a better management system and take strict measures to avoid this kind of tragedy in near future.
