Pandas are adorable but what happened to the animal rights??? Remember that this is a rental and the zoo has to pay $1mil/each panda/year as soft diplomacy and if something unfortunate happens to the bear, there is a cost to pay back to China. If the pair have an offspring, then it will be included as rental for $$$ to China and the baby MUST be sent to China by age 4 and face the abuse that only the foreign born panda babies go thru, including having to receive customers behind the scenes at night for $$$ (for photos and to be fed like a petting zoo animals that could be detrimental for them due potential for skin diseases, etc.). Pandas are no longer on the endangered species list and doesn't make any sense to keep the old agreement and have them go thru the emotional and physical cruelty they have to endure once in China. The China panda centers definitely are not equipped to provide the quality of care needed for Korea-born FuBao nor Japan's XiangXiang and they wouldn't be there if those babies were given the choice : (

So San Diego people are excited now, but they will eventually realize that they are just borrowing those pandas and will have to return them to China after some years. People in S. Korea and Japan have experienced the painful departures of their beloved pandas and watched them suffering from various types of trauma when they were forced to live in totally unfamiliar places after all those years.

That’s why I don’t think China should lend them out and just keep their national treasures to themselves. If people love pandas, go visit China. Panda diplomacy should end, especially with anti China hostile countries. Look at Le Le and Ya Ya’s terrible fate in the Memphis Zoo. There’s a protest in China urging to stop panda diplomacy with hostile countries to prevent animal abuse of national treasures of China. China is big enough to house those cute animals comfortably without being loaned out. South Korea and Japan don’t deserve pandas either as they plan to steal Chinese pandas as their own and appropriate them by slandering China of “mistreatment” making excuses to appropriate Chinese pandas. I see this trend going on with Korean and Japanese leaving hostile comments slandering China demanding China to return Fubao to S. Korea. I don’t see a point of lending these cute animals any American military alliances at all. No lending out in the first place, then no trauma returning them to China. That’s the term of lending. If other countries like Korea and Japan try to appropriate them as they appropriate Chinese culture by rebranding they appropriate from China as “Japanese and Korean” being Sinospheric nations, I see no point in having anymore panda diplomacy. Pandas are best in their motherland China so Korea and Japan won’t make excuses to appropriate Chinese pandas. It’s like saying the books you borrow from the library are so precious to you that you suffer trauma from returning those books and that the library isn’t taking care of the books and the books should be kept by you for better care (blatant stealing). That’s what I see now with Korea and Japan. The library doesn’t have to lend greedy people books so they can make excuses slandering the library so as to steal the books, just as China doesn’t have to lend out anymore pandas for Koreans and Japanese making excuses to appropriate them. Pandas are always Chinese, just as borrowed books from the library don’t belong to you and you can’t slander the library for mistreating books and you are having trauma from losing books after the books are returned to the library. I don’t understand why USA being so anti China deserves any more of such beautiful animals from China. China needs to end this with USA and let them have a fit all they want. They like pandas, then take a trip to China and let Americans see how demonized and vilified the American media slander China to be.
