Michael, race car drivers use 2 feet when racing, not one (including simulators). Right foot on the throttle and left foot on the brake at all times. We also use both feet when flying airplanes and helicopters. Same when riding a motorcycle or ATV.

Using the upscale and internal of the LG G2 instead of the Apple TV 4k 3rd gen? I'm learning here, thank you for sharing. Definitely all in the settings. I was just using the apps in my oled to get its upscale ability. Now I know a better way. Why not use a Nvidia shield pro for its upscale? FYI I don't have either, I have a roku but plan to upgrade.

Good video. Definitely get someone to look at Dirac for you all. A good bit was left on the table Brandon hill or Joe and tell is a good calibrator Chuck is a class act.

Don't automatically assume Dirac is a cureall. There's a lot of situations where it flat out gets things wrong and commonly gives different results everytime you run it. Ironically, it was battling Dirac that helped me learn more about my room, so I can't completely dismiss it.

@ it definitely works better when the room setup is setup well with multi subs. Or when you can give Dirac a good response for the subs using mini dsp and rew before Dirac does its calibration. I do wish they would offer post calibration measurements so we wouldn’t have to go into rew to validate.

@@bigjack79 I've had better luck time aligning my subs manually in REW so far to optimize my subs output and get flatter response. I agree it's odd they don't off some sort of pre/post data. It's a little bit "trust us bro." ^_^

Just wondering why you never went for a Trinnov processor over the Marantz?,

Beyond the massive price difference, Trinnov is not easily controlled without an expensive setup (Control 4, etc.) unless you jerry rig it. Since this is a rental property, it would be MUCH easier for anybody to operate the Marantz processor. The Trinnov bootup time alone would make any ordinary person think "something's wrong".

Is it a dirac or marantz issue with the calibration crashing? Never remember marantz having many issues when I had mine and I've only messed with arc for the last couple years. Another 600 for dirac is robbery imo.

We appreciate the feedback and the questions. Jeff already has plans for side speakers which would be the same speaker minus the passive radiators that are on the ends of the speaker. We’ve had discussion about height speakers. Can’t share any more information at this time.
