Just a startup of my 1994 7.3 idit, has a banks sidewinder kit, pump cranked up all the way ;) stage 1 injectors.

I drive a 1992 f350 with the 7.3 idi with over 1 million miles on the block. My IP is turned up 3 flats cause stock headers, stock pipes. I saw you have an EGT gauge which helps your cause alot on your IDI. I would highly recommend putting on a remote oil cooler kit on your truck to keep EGTs down and give mo power. Looks like you are burning oil a little bit as it evaporates through CDR valve. The oil cooler kit should solve that :) Beautiful truck BTW man.

@@SmoothRuffian 230k is not big deal for the motor just be weary of the transmission and cooling system, starter, glow plugs, fuel pump, return lines, orings on return lines and before you buy it make sure it starts cold. Look up Mike Green on KZbin his videos helped me. Also take the fuel water separator off and look for rust in it.

You will need to have about 2000 set aside for repairs right off the bat with one of these rigs. But when you replace the small shit you will be fine. @@SmoothRuffian no problem man, just expect it to have issues, if you can try to take a glowplug out and look at some cylinders. Also the coolant should be red. As soon as you buy it get 3 gallons of shell rotella 15w40 diesel oil and 8 gallons of fleetguard diesel coolant. You can pit a fl1995 filter on it for the oil. You will be in for a shitload of maintenance for the first few months. Make sure coolant has ethylene glycol in it. And buy a wix fuel water separator. For first 10k miles will be a struggle but after tht it is fuckin mint.

They are nice if they are your style, I personally don’t like the look of them anymore. I am going to do color matched gm mirrors next, I think they look the best on these trucks if done correctly. The only thing I don’t like about the dodge mirrors is that when they are folded down the blind spot mirror is on the side and not on the bottom, which imo makes them less functional. Yes I can flip them up but it looks stupid imo.

Dude your rig is badass. I have a 94 250 IDI Turbo but as of now, it's completely stock. What size downpipe did you use to go to a 5-inch straight pipe. Is the downpipe off your turbo a 3 inch then up to a 5 inch? Damn wish I could see your exhaust set up. Love your assist steps. Where did you get those...awesome.

Could also be heater ring, tank lines, injector rings, pump connections, selector connections, or any of the manifold pipes or hoses etc.. He could just do electric and watch for leaks and never worry All mechanical is cool till you can't start in the middle of nowhere. There is no tool or trick to find the leak...

That is an idi with a turbo for sure. The powerstroke has allot more clank to rhe motor and sounds a little more modern. The idi has a softer tick.

Usually dosent smoke white like that, but on start up it has a little puff of black on startup, because of it being cranked up all the way and the bigger injectors

I do, I would definitely recommend however go for the factory turbo models. They have stronger internals and can hold more boost than the N/A ones.

I've never had it on a dyno, but with that setup probably around 230hp to the wheel. But with my new pump I recently got I should be around 290 or so. To the wheel not the crank, to the crank it would like 340-350ish.

Might not be fast but it has enough torque to pull a house, these weren’t race trucks and never will be, they’re meant for pulling loaded at highway speed and that’s it, not to mention this motor will long outlast any ecoboost, these motors are known to make it to well over 1.5million trouble free miles if you keep them properly maintained
