This method works. Obviously need to replace the o-rings. The shot completely disassembled has correct orientation. Motor oil in the can Tiny billet shaped piece goes in bullet first. Snug with the vice grips Good luck

Around 0:46 you drop the piston out of the IPR body. I cannot get that thing to come out. I’ve let degreaser sit in it to help break things up, I’ve tried a heat gun on the IPR body, I’ve used a telescoping magnet to move the piston back and forth, but there’s a point that it just won’t get past. Any advice would be much appreciated, because I do not want to spend roughly $200 for a new one.

Extremely helpful video. Question: The first part you remove with a cloth and a vice grips, mine is on so tight I can't budge it. Suggestions? Propane torch lightly? If I score it (with vice grips) then file it smooth, is that OK you think?

The teeth marks won't hurt anything from my experiences. Pinch them right down on it so they don't slide

One more question: When you open the pilot valve, inside is a spring and a tiny spool valve. Inside the spool valve is a very tiny screw. Do you know what that little screw does? I ask because when I first went to take apart the IPR I turned the screw A LITTLE TINY BIT by mistake before I realized that you did not address that screw in your video. What do you think? Thanks.

+istvan meissler not sure what screw you are referring to.

The bullet shaped piece (spool valve?) with the grooves, behind the spring in the first piece that gets unscrewed out (pilot valve?). That bullet shaped piece has a little screw in it which a small flat head screwdriver can turn clockwise or counter-clockwise. In your video, you do not take apart the spool valve (which appears to be held together with a cir-clip behind the "bullet" shaped tip). You don't mess with it because, I am guessing, there is no need to mess with it. I turned that little screw a bit by mistake, before I realized what I was doing was wrong. I am guessing that screw adjusts the amount of pressure the IPR holds. Just not sure how to check what it's set at now and then adjust it back to good. Thought you might have an idea which would help me out. Thanks.
