I'm studying for my MCAT right now, and I just wanted to thank you for your clear, accurate explanations. The way you navigated the concept just stuck on my brain, despite me feeling like I'm on my last straw. I'll be referring to your channel more :)

Hello, for the last problem with the Zaitsev rule, why isn't the cis product a major, even if the double bond is also surrounded by 2 carbons?

trans is more stable since the me groups are further away from each other I believe.

Trans more stable cause their dipol moment are negate each other

Because Cis structures are on the same side, so there is a ton of steric strain (steric strain- when large groups (relatively large groups) are next to each other repelling each other).
