Very Interested regarding your thoughts on the PS Trackday pads.... Can you provide any comparison is Pagid Rs29's, PFC08's, PFC01, Hawk DTC's ect. They price on them is just fantastic, I just don't want to end up in a wall because I tried to save a few $ on brake pads. Thanks

Hi Doug, I can't compare them to any that you've listed. I can compare them to Ferodo DS2500s, Carbonne Lorraine RC5 & RC6, EBC Yellows. I had your same concern. Be aware I only did one lap and cannot speak to how they will do under a 20+ minute track session. I don't think you'll end up in a wall. It has good feedback and I don't think it will suddenly completely fade on you. I felt a tiny bit of fade at the end. I think it might have been due to non-steel-braided brake lines. It probably isn't as good as Pagids but I don't think Pagids are 3x better than Powerstops. The Powerstop pads felt similar/like Ferodo DS2500 pads. They are not better than Carbonne Lorraine dedicated race pads when hot. They did very well on the round trip and time on track. They work well on the street and I am pretty aggressive while braking especially on spirited drives. I get them hot consistently but not TRACK hot. At the end of the Ring lap my tire air temps a little over 200 F, the hottest I've ever seen those readings. That could have had to do with the high tire pressures to begin with though (I didn't have time to lower them before the lap). I would suggest buying a set and do a session or two as you build up speed and aggression. Find the point where they're about to fail. If you don't like it swap back. I will eventually see for myself on a track day and will let you know my findings.

Hey nice video. How do you find the dry grip of ps4s for the m4? Is it comparable to ad08r or its not that track oriented?

Gutted that there won't be further GT350 updates man! I'd love to know the reason behind the move to the M4, but can relate as that's what us car guys do. Great video all the same and enjoy, brother!

Shame the GT350 had to go. I have an M4 myself so know they're a great car, but there's something about that Mustang! Have you done anything to the M4? I see that this lap was about 18 seconds quicker than in the Mustang!!
@grandtourisbros7 жыл бұрын
I agree, turbobungle. The M4 isn't as special that is a fact. The M4 is stock except for M4 GTS throttle, transmission, and differential software upload as well as M4 Competition Pack damper software. The Mustang was such a rare car that I had to underdrive it while the M4 is a dime-a-dozen. One would naturally drive the M4 harder while it was in its birth country- full of available parts and knowledge.

gt350recon so do you think the 'Stang would have been quicker if you'd pushed it more?
@grandtourisbros7 жыл бұрын
That is REALLY hard to say considering the GT350 is about 300 lbs heavier... but yes, I think it would be marginally quicker stock vs stock because the GT350 is less snappy.

gt350recon yeah I could understand that, the M4 certainly likes to go sideways at every opportunity, main reason I bought it. That and the fact you can still buy an M car with a manual 'box!

Sad to see 350 go. New gt500 could be a brother to the m4. Just thinking out loud here...merica!!

Lol if dude was trying to keep up with that car in front of him, I’m sorry to inform that car is gone. All that money for a bmw what a waste.
