excellent video! i'm a non-drummer songwriter and producer, and this was very helpful to better understand some drum patterns i've been editing to a new song. thanks and congrats, abraço do Brasil!

Very well put together explained and played. I'd like to see the same rhythms approached when playing Drums in conjunction with a percussionist which is usually the case. In this case drums will be complimentary and not play the same parts as conga. Here in many cases you have the parts a conga would play (your Bolero and Guaganco for example) adapted to a drumset. Thank you.

Great suggestion! ... I've been wondering if more people would be interested in a video about playing drum set with a percussionist for these styles.

the groves are cool but they're almost unreadable due to how they were notated, offbeat quarter notes on drums should almost always just be eithnotes, followed by eighth rests, in addition, the beaming is very odd
@RhythmNotes2 жыл бұрын
I understand what you mean, and I made this notation decision because the parts are to be interpreted with a degree of independence. I will take your concern into strong consideration for future tutorials.
