I actually like how Minato was in those games. Absolutely silent, mysterious ninja that during his ultimate simply teleports behind you and kills you. He wasn't as cheerful as he was in the anime, he looked grim and serious.

You can see it in action on Kakashi's Bonus Chapter when Obito gets crushed and when he's fighting Killer Bee and when fighting Obito when the Kyuubi attacked the Village.

Kakashi Copying Ultimates was actually in the very first Clash of Ninja game, but you had to unlock Sharingan Kakashi with a cheat code, and then press the X button on the character select screen when hovering over Kakashi. He was able to copy all other ultimate jutsus in the game, including having his own "Inner Kakashi" when copying Sakura's ultimate.

The only one he wasn't able to do was Haku's, because his is a Kekkai Genkai, which is a bloodline limit jutsu the Sharingan can't copy. He also was able to copy Nine-Tailed Naruto's, but only for the first game.

Some more details for Ultimate Ninja series: -Even though Tentens awakening type is listed differently, it functions the same as a combo awakening. Neji, Kisame, & Kankuro also need to hit combos aswell to enter their awakened state (although Neji is the only one I listed that can bypass this by doing his regular ultimate). -If you hold the taunt button as Sakon, the name on the HUD display will change to Ukon and your health gradually heals -Naruto’s Reversal Ultimate doesn’t show his face at all. More than likely this is because his cloak form model was removed for the 4-Tailed form. So the model in the cutscene is probably just his regular form. -Kakashi was planned to have Kamui as one of his ougis (most likely his Awakened) but wasn’t finished in time for the final game. Source is the Cutting Room Floor. There’s an incomplete cutscene of it too. -In Ultimate Ninja 5, Summoning Ultimates were removed. The summons were replaced with new ultimates for all the Shippuden characters. For the kid versions, they just duplicated one of their other ultimates (ex: PTS Gaara has Sand Shuriken twice. PTS Choji has the partial expansion twice.) PTS Kiba is the only who was given a proper Ultimate to replace his summoning, which was a cutscene version of Garouga from Ultimate Ninja 3. -In Ultimate Ninja 3, Sasuke & Kakashi can copy everybody’s jutsu. -PTS Shikamaru’s regular Ultimate Jutsu references Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Series from PS2 Era will always have a special place in my heart and soul, these are the most unique Naruto games for me, only Storm 1 was coming close to these Masterpiece Naruto games, especially from gameplay perspective, I don't know why, but for me, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Series from PS2 Era, are so nostalgic, unique and divine at the same time, I have so many memories during my childhood by playing these Unique Naruto games, Naruto games from PS2 Era was always very close to the anime itself because of the unique vibe and charm☯️ 🤷🏻‍♂️✌️

Unpopular opinion: Naruto's 2d games were more fun and complete, in the sense of having a greater variety of combos, normal jutsus (those that spend little chakra) and ultimate jutsus (which spend a lot of chakra). For example, NSUN5 characters had 13~15 combos, 2 normal jutsus and 2~3 ultimate jutsus that could be used in a single fight. However, in the Storm franchise, characters always only had 6 combos, one normal jutsu and one ultimate jutsu. Also, 2d games included more characters like Anko, Shizune and Kurenai. They even included Hanabi and the Konohamaru squad, when both didn't have a single defined jutsu or fighting style. Maybe I'm being too nostalgic, but I would love if the Ultimate Ninja 2D franchise got a sequel someday.

Yea I think traditional fighters/platform fighters are much better than the arena fighters, but arena fighters are cheap to make so despite the company making these Naruto games being bandai namco makers of one of the greatest fighting game series of all time, known as the most challenging and in depth fighting game, with the record for the longest running video game story, Tekken, it's so good, but they still just make these cheap arena fighters for ez profit except that one time they let arc system works make dbfz which was such a good move I hope arc sys makes the next shonen crossover game but with shorter combos more like their game guilty gear strive because despite me being not very casual I , like most casuals prefer the shorter combos, also just let Tekken team themselves work on a Naruto fighter would be awesome instead of giving their licensed games to their smaller divisions

It's a neat little detail my friend showed me a very long time ago, and I can't remember if it's back-X or press X again after it connects (GameCube controls), but it only works against Gaara

Ultimate Ninja was always better than Storm. I had way more fun with them and the attention to detail was a lot more consistent and accurate. Not to mention the ultimate moves were just better in every way. Hashirama’s ultimate in Ultimate Ninja is leagues better than both of his ultimate in Storm for example. They are longer, showcase the power of the character perfectly (regarding their speed, technique, ability etc) and they fit the character’s personality. Overall I’d play Ultimate Ninja over Storm. But if they decided to remake Ultimates Ninja for modern consoles, I’d flip.

I really love the old Naruto games, especially the Sharingan mode. In Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 (PS2), it's so satisfying when seeing Kakashi or Sasuke using the enemy's jutsu. They even can copy Itachi's jutsu, Shadow Explosion Jutsu.

If I have to be completely honest the ultimate ninja games while lacking in graphics and arena fight gameplay, the amount of details is ultimately amazing. The awakenings, the ultimate jutsus, the soundtrack. Don’t get me wrong the soundtrack in storm series has some of their moments but non of them really sticks as much as ultimate ninja. It’s even more amazing how some characters have their own gimmick going on to make them feel unique. One of my favourites is Minato’s jutsu, I remember always falling for it, he can literally bounce off walls if he misses his rasengan. It was the coolest thing I’ve seen. Also, I hate how Anko isn’t in the storm games, she was like my waifu back then. Her, Kurenai, Shizune, Temari and Hinata also Tayuya. Man I want to play those games again.

UN3-5 wasn't lacking in gameplay. After UN2 they went on to perfect it in UN3. From UN4 to UN5 you can say they evolved it. Evolving it to eventually what we know as thr Storm series.

fun fact kakashi's not the only one with a unique justu in clash of ninja in clash of Ninja two rock lee actually has two the primary lotus which is his normal one and the hidden lotus which can only be used when you active his inner gates mode by pressing down on the control pad when you have enough chakra. But another fun detail about lee is that his primary lotus has as special call out from the series when lee does the move he normally just kicks the opponent into the air the spin slams them down however if he uses the move on gaara he kicks him into the air than rapidly kicks him to raise him a bit higher before slamming him into the ground just like he did during their chunin exam match

@@carstan62 the revolution series and Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special are far more complete games than the second Clash of Ninja. Special's roster might be flat out busted, but the only Clash of Ninja that is balanced are the first two games due to the miniscule roster.

Ps2 Ultimate Ninja was fire the fighting was epic and there was lots of hidden stuff to find such as sharingan letting you copy movesets, intentionally messing up on some moves to have a different effect, plus i like the 2d fighting more than the 3d. Oddly enough i like 3d more for dragon balls.

Clash of ninja 3 is still the best Naruto game I ever played. Had it for the Wii and played with a GameCube controller. I used anbu Kakashi and Hiruko the most, it was cool that him and Sasori were separate characters. I wish all Naruto games were more compact like that one, there’s too much space in the new ones

My all time favourite detail was from Clash Of Ninja Revolution for Wii. While every other character in the game had a blocking animation for close combat attacks, Shikamaru would dodge out of the way of every strike. He was the only character who did this. It was such a cool thing when I saw it the first time and I still love it today.

Naruto will forever have a special place with a lot of us, while dragon ball x had some great games the story and majority of the adaptations came out way before the modern games and systems we love were made, while Naruto from start to finish was a on going journey from playing it on each new console or portable console to new characters being introduced in the show and us knowing soon will have a game or update to play as them, the story development with Minato being nameless along with the first and second hokages, I don’t think there will ever be another experience like Naruto and the gaming industry

I liked how some awakenings can be activated with a taunt in UN4. Kakashi's, Gaara's, etc. :)

Man, I loved the UN series. I used to stay up all night playing wit my best homie on the phone. Since there was no online play, we'd jus use our imagination and choose different characters to fight against. We'd take turns creating storylines, like WHY would these 2 Ninja be fighting each other, etc. Then we'd pick the Ninjas we'd fight against on the hardest difficulty, wit MAX handicap on the CPU side. (So we'd make it as DIFFICULT as possible, but we'd styll wreck the CPU, cuz we had no life and played all Summer and whenever we had time off on the weekends, lol)

Gaara's flight has always been an annoying skill to deal with Especially when we activated the infinite chakra mode The only thing that can possibly counter it is guy's dynamic entry spam and just wait until gaara's flight ran out of time

Awakening mode was so fun in narutimate series and the gameplay itself was superb. Drunk Lee, Spider guy who makes rain of arrow if you hold up, fast passed gameplay, again DRUNK LEE, with no chakra you can’t stay on the water and many more!

Tsunade Specifically using Mitotic Regeneration instead of Medical Ninjutsu made me love the game even more. I finished NS:UN5 without any guides and in 100% Japanese text somehow I got into the extra end game Sasuke mode. That also includes Guy Sensei and Iruka Sensei's shitty challenges where you beat the hell up any unplayable characters that spams tons of abilities, my best team is Neji and Sakura to space out from characters that try to interrupt my Rasengan charge spam.

Oh god iruka's last few challenges are tough when he calls in orochimaru and literally every character to beat your ass. I always end up camping on that top hill though

There is more in naruto ultimate ninja 3 Sarutobi taunt = the one whre he spin nyoi rod, can deflect kunai Same as Tobirama, in the game where he will gain bubble shield with same effect In this game you use henge, and kuchiyose Kiba will become his 2 head dog Gaara will become shukaku And 3 sanin with their own summoning, also Sakura for some reason Please cover this fact
