lol you think that they would have defeated all of Rome? HA! Rome had many of it's legions away stationed across the Republic and they were being recalled. Pompey showed up late because of his campaign in Hispania and there were others stationed in Greece. No way in hell they were going to stand up to all of the legions. The reason they did so well was because they had the element of surprise on an undermanned home front. And btw as much as Rome probably deserved to be brought to it's knees you all benefit much from her time in power to this day. If things had not been set in motion in the way they have been none of you would draw breath this very day.

Very enjoyable video! However, according to historians the fight between Priscus and Verus was a little different... - First off, the fight did not last for hours, it lasted about half an hour (still around 20times longer than the average fight) - Sometime around the middle of the fight they both knocked each other's weapons out of their hands, and continued to fight with their fists - They both capitulated to each other due to exhaustion and the fact that they were friends. There was no mutual weapon-dropping involved

No. flamma was a Syrian. he never accepted his freedom. this guy doesn't have the numbers right for spartacus either. he up 120000, 30000 or so left with crixus and died in battle. of The remaining half died when pompi slaughtered them and the other half died to crasus. no one knows if the spartacus died in the battle or not since his body was never found and only 6000 were crucified.

I know that story I live for history like that I just wasn't sure if the movie Gladiator did it's research or just made up a champion for the movie... In the video the guys description of Flamma and picture made me think it was Flamma in the Movie Gladiator that fought Maximus in the arena with the tigers. Spartacus actually existed, just like Crixus, Oenomaus and Gannicus, although Oenomaus wasn't really a commander for the rebellion, since he fell really early in the rebellion and Crixus wasn't the only one who split off from Spartacus forces, since Gannicus did the same, although later than Crixus. Would the three off them have stayed united, the Romans would prolly be wiped from existence.

Outside of the rebellion, nothing is known about Gannicus (This is based on rl, not the show). Maximus is fictional.

Him and Castus (which should be Agron's role in the series) separated from Spartacus as well and took the Celts and Germans with them but was defeated by Crassus with the help of 2 other commanders.

@@Raven1323 nobody knows who gannicus really was he could have been a badass but all we have are a few lines mentioning his name which isnt really surprising due to the fact that he died over 2000 years ago he could have been a badass or just a regular gladiator but chances are that he was fairly high up there couse his name beein mentioned together with names like crixus and spartacus as leaders of the rebellion is a pretty big giveaway that he was probably one of the more respected gladiators which in their ranks would normally come from your achievements on the sand

Spartacus' body was never found. The romans were very embittered they could not parade his body around as a trophy. If he died in battle, the gods took away his body to protect it from the romans. That's my belief and I'm sticking with it😁🙏

There are two things I absolutely hate about the topic of gladiators.....And that's every time you google gladiator anything you ALWAYS get the "gladiator movie" .........And second you can't EVER talk about gladiators without reaching out of the topic, And by that I mean the "Rebellion".......
