I've blind-bought OFG. Ohh man, strong, long lasting, incensy-dark, great for winter fragance, too strong for hot weather. I would definitely recommend testing it before buying it as I don't think it's for everyone and it definitely leans towards the masculine side.

I really like Blackmail because it is a lot different from other oud/rose combos. It's such a great oud paired with smokey incense and some slight fruity sweetness. So well done.

Try Fort & Manle Bojnokopff. It's the dirty kind of oud, but it's beautifully blended with the vanilla, chocolate and lavender. And not overbearing in any way. Based on your taste, i think you'll like it.

I bought a sample of Layton Exclusif and OFG. Hate the Layton wife hates it also. It stinks. OFG was a shock. Absolutely so unique. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled anything like it. It was so different at first because being so unique. We both kept smelling it because it reminds us of something we’ve smelled before but not a fragrance. No clue what. But after wearing it a couple times the better half gave me her blessing to buy a bottle of it.

Basically the oud is from the agarwood tree, which is also commonly used for incense in Catholic or orthodox churches. This wood is expensive and in Southeast Asia it is an endangered plant.

I didn’t say anything about Layton. It smells okay. Not as awesome as you think it does but not bad. Exclusiff smells like butt to anyone not a Frag head. And while I appreciate the artistry to make stuff that makes you smell identical to an elephants butt crack I just want to smell good to normal people who don’t have the brain damage that apparently comes from huffing too many Pthalates etc added into Fragrances 😂 😂🤣

Gucci Oud I started with (not Gucci Intense Oud). I asked the sales lady to break me in easy with oud and she recommended this one and i love it. MFK Satin Mood is my favorite of the MFK Oud line, as a guy, and I dont find it nearly as feminine leaning as Silk Mood, which is still Unisex but leans fairly feminine. I have yet to smell a bad MFK fragrance yet. They are all top shelf, for sure!

I've a small 10 ml decant of oud for greatness and I added maybe 2ml to the decant of BR540 parfum and let it sit and it's off the chain sexy Dudes scent ....I wore 2 sprays of it to a gathering at my hotel and my Bosses wife literally walked up to me and asked me what I was wearing and my Boss asked for a little sample he wore it and his wife bought him a bottle and hes loved it ever since

My favourite oud fragrances are Oud Palao by Diptyque and Hayati by Arabian Oud (one of the best brands in my opinion). Those perfumes are definitely not for everyone though. You should try them out!

Hi Demi love the vids...been subscribed for a long time and I am always happy to see your reviews..the thing about oud fragrances is that they have been around for a long time..Have been wearing for years. And I pay about 20 to 40 dollars for them. All different combos and quite authentic from the sellers and makers themselves. I like many of the fragrances you listed. For the warmer months, I like MFK 'Oud EDP'. It is a light oud fragrance that pairs well with warmer weather. You have to make sure to get the EDP version and not the extrait (which is better for cooler weather). I like the extrait version too.

I haven't put a nose on Oud for Greatness in a year or two, but going strictly from olfactory memory, it reminds me of Jubilation XXV from Amouage. I do remember liking it alot. For me a fragrance MUST impart a sense of mystery, otherwise why bother? It's about more than merely 'smelling nice'. It should convey a sense of the exotic. Oud for Greatness certainly does that. But at $430 for a paltry 90ml., it damn well should.

The only fragrance on your list that I feel doesn't really deserve to be there is Noir de Noir. Not because it isn't gorgeous. It absolutely is. Just that I've never thought of it as an oud fragrance. I know oud is among its less prominent notes, but perhaps your skin renders it more oud forward. Mine does not. I think of it as a dark chocolate & rose fragrance. I have an awareness of what might lean too feminine on me, and this one flies way below that particular radar of mine. I'd call it completely unisex. I do agree with you on Black Afgano leaning way masculine. I have the original formulation and I don't even see how a woman pulls that off. It's a one spray fragrance or the board of health will be contacted. Make that half a spray. Thankfully my 30 ml bottle is not in any danger of running out of its vintage juice any time soon. Also have the vintage Lancome and there I do agree it leans kind of feminine, but the praline is just so mouth wateringly delicious, there is no need to second guess my choice. Have you tried Nemer by Boadicea the Victorious? That is my favorite oud fragrance. It is extremely masculine, so it might not register as your favorite if you did smell it. I think it beats the Initio by a mile, but I can see how a woman would be able to more easily wear Oud For Greatness than Nemer. Even if that woman does like to wear men's fragrances.

Alien Oud Majesteux is one that I really enjoy. It’s pretty rough - Alien with untamed barnyard Oud. But sooooo good! A def try before you buy! Oud Bouquet, Noir de Noir, and Delina Exclusif are my fave Ouds (even though Delina is the most friendly Oud of all time, it’s still there apparently lol). I’m a fan of the new Oud Bouquet formulation, but I ordered a sample of the older one. Just as a confirmation to see which one is the better smell (subjectively, of course)

Oud for Greatness and Rehab have been on my test list for months already. Initio seems to be less of a clone house than its cheaper brother Parfums de Marly (they clone excellently though), and thus more creative. This is exactly what I look for in oud perfumes. I own Mancera Aoud Vanille, Montale Arabians, Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud, Nasomatto Black Afgano, Tom Ford Oud Wood and Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Abyad. Creed Royal Oud and Rasasi Oudh Al Boruzz Asrar Indonesia are already planned for purchasing. Let’s see if Oud For Greatness will add enough uniqueness to my ouds. I can’t stand rose ouds, so that makes it extra challenging. Most rose ouds marketed towards men actually smell much better on women.

I wouldn’t say Creed’s Royal Oud is really oudy. If there’s oud in there, it’s hidden very well. But, it still is a great fragrance. I think of it as more of a complex, spicy scent. Something I think would be better at night, or in the colder months. I would definitely recommend it as a purchase, just not if you’re looking for oud.

DFW Shade It is there, as a serving layer to the cedar. Therefore Royal Cedar would be a more suitable name. Because the oud is brilliantly blended with sandalwood, cedar and pink pepper, its woody side truly shines - without any animalistic or barnyard type of vibes.

Mike Kopp tricky question. Overall I’d probably prefer oud for greatness, because of it’s much better performance in terms of projection and longevity. When it comes to pure scent, I probably prefer oud wood as that oud is even a little more tame in comparison to oud for greatness, although they are not too far apart - in my opinion. Again the difference for me is in the performance. Oud wood is essentially a skin scent on my skin with no projection, and I get 5-6 hours longevity out of it. I wore oud for greatness to work once (3 sprays), and was getting unsolicited compliments, so the fragrance clearly projected. I was also getting whifs of it late that same day, so clearly 10+ hours of longevity. Overall winner - oud for greatness
