As an added bonus to the Jade treasure trove, grab the money, matts, weapon, and whatver else and then just leave. Putter around doing other quests for a bit, return a few days later, and it has probably restocked. Repeat until you can fill your Scrooge McDuck hab with credit sticks and swim in it.

you do not have to only thing you have to do is loot whatever you want out the captains locker and fast travel to the lodge or some where on the map of Jemison and immediately fast travel back to jade swan the captains locker resets repeat to your heart content .

​@woodchopper1752 I use a mod that turns junk items into resources and, iirc, you can loot everything in that ship on your way to the captain's locker/cargo interface. If so, Jade just graduated to a farm.

Andreja is best girl. I call her Mrs. 15%. We smash anywhere I find a bed or a cot. Clear out enemies in an area? Smash. Even right in front of the crew. Yes. In front of Cora too if need be. The way I see it, if I let that 15% XP boost expire by not smashing Andreja every chance I get, I've failed us both.

Bullshit, if you loot when you are lvl 15 it will be obsolete in 10 or 15 lvl, maybe the best if you loot it when you are lvl 60 or 80 . (I'm lvl 76 and i just start to found [superior] stuff)

the best quest rewards in the game would almost certainly be "the secret base" / the Mantis quest.. free ship, weapons, and loot.. most importantly a Legendary suit, Legendary Helmet, and Legendary boost pack... which you can also "reroll" by saving before you open the case with the maneuquin, loot it see what legendary effects you get and if you are not 100% satisfied, reload... the base of the items i believe also scales to your level. plus the ship is, i believe, the only ship with a special ability that some enemies in space combat will recognize it and run away (granted i'm not sure if that's a good thing or not) you can redesign the ship even.

Desperation will get you a ton of exp to gain a few levels which alone is helpful despite the desperation reward which is just icing on the cake.

Kepler R is a decent ship. Obviously it isn't the best but it's free and offers a lot compared to the starting ship and other free ships. Everyone knows ships you make yourself will be better.

Any magsniper is better for sniping once you can get them. Best mission rewards are the vanguard vs crimson fleet line and the mantis questline. On mantis just be sure to save the game before you open up his armor case. It will be different perks every time you open it. I generally hold out for 2 pieces having mechanized or whatever it’s called. You can get up to 60 extra mass of carrying g capacity and more if you add pocketed to it.

You want an Assisted Carry Pack with Chameleon. Everything else is gravy. The more Chameleon the better.

I had 200k+ in Huan's locker, but I was lvl75 when I did this so... I wonder if it's locked based on level. surprised you didn't say anything about the Mantis mission... but basically everybody else does so whatever. It's well known, but it's bar none the EASIEST way to get an armor with the best traits (you can re-roll it till you get the traits you want. Honestly, all you NEED is 2x chameleon pieces, that way you can disappear from enemy radar basically whenever you crouch down (obv moving, shooting, coughing- if you have lung damage- gives you away, but this makes stealth EXTREMELY easy), but IF you want something else than it's quite possible in this lvl 12-20ish dungeon. After that, I think the best gun you can get can't be found in a quest. Just run ordinary random missions as much as possible until you find something you like. After playing for 1000s of hours don't get me wrong, I really like the guns you get in the game... just none are as good as getting one randomly with say- shattering, hand loading/ lacerate and cornered (or space adept for when fighting in space). Few weapons you can win or buy have shattering (the one BEST trait in the game IMO) and NONE of them to my knowledge have shattering PLUS other traits.

currently just messing with the Mantis ship love hearing spacers going The mantis the mantis and screaming at each other bs and i annihilate them the options are great and if you run into a single spacer they panic, this playthrough i finally got the character to rank 4 piloting so upgrade of weapons incoming maybe or i will keep the current vanguard stuff just put 6 lasers on power consumption 2 on them and got 2 of those so it looks like i modded the game but nope just using "weaker" rank gear to get more on the ship.

The Star Eagle sip from completing the Freestar Ranger questline is probably the best free ship in the game. Surprised you didn't include that or the Razorleaf ship from the Mantis questline.

Do not forget in the groundponder to loot the storage containers around the external part of the base for a little bit of resources can be great to get you going in outpost building ( ie the ones that you can build at your outpost ). What about the Paradiso quest you can get the captains outfit from her bed room on board her ship great for star trek role players . Also if you are planning a part 2 you might want to ad the quest dead stop in Eleos Retreat for the spacesuit .

honestly, i would strongly suggest NOT going for the Keplar.. don't even start that mission. do the quest "into the unknown" and then focus on other stuff.. mainly what 'into the unknown' starts you finding.. you can buy or build better ships then the keplar. (the Narwhal for existence, or if you find and steal an ecliptic Claymore) i found the changes after "all that money can buy" somewhat ruined things.. getting attacked by enemies that don't drop any loot INSTEAD OF the ones that do??? no thanks.. sure, do it eventually, but i'd hold off for a while.

I'm around level 130 and I've never seen more than 20k in the Jade Swan captains locker... but I'm on Xbox, standard game, no mods, no funny business (aside from the bugs). I'm not saying people are lying, but I haven't seen it in a normal, unmodded game confirmed vanilla (e.g. mine on my hardware). I do believe it is a bug, but that the bug is in a lack of an ownership tag, or a lock (I have seen locked captains lockers and cargo holds, but they're rare). And I've reported it (sorry!).

There’s quite a substantial amount of aliens you just have to find em. Some are quite formidable and some look like aggressive strange looking dinosaurs and out posting is pretty fun too.. but to each his own I agree with the vehicle comment but amp helps tremendously while taking boudicca (+30 oxygen) and sparkling water ( -20% actions while running or jumping) and if you have terrabrew coffee ( +18 to 20% oxygen) plus if you do the mission board you come across real high leveled pirates. I was level 70 at one point and was taking on missions to assassinate pirate legends up to level 98 and they drop better gear the higher the difficulty. And you find better items in safes and crates too when the difficulty is higher
