10:09 This trade made me realize just how much Brandon Ingram has improved since his initial years with the Lakers. He's no KD, but he's a fantastic player.

Nah read reports lakers trash already why get somebody who struggles under pressure, that’s the whole lakers team Especially lebron and AD they already said they don’t want Ingram at all lol

The hawks werent a true contender. But john collins did go to the conference finals and was great until the next few seasons where he forgot how to play basketball

We have to take into account roster spots. For example in the first trade, Utah would have to waive 3 players to make that trade possible.

I feel like Warriors fans would want more for Kuminga
@dchappell20202 күн бұрын
Kuminga is hard to gauge value honestly but if they are trading him I think BI or Randle tier player is his high value estimate and a low value would be a Cam Johnson & DFS/Dennis package is about on par. Cam could go for more value than his worth bc he’s on contract and I could see the rational for GSW sending Kuminga and Melton away for that but Cam could go for two protected firsts or maybe a really juicy future unprotected first or an unprotected pick in this upcoming draft with a stable of seconds

I LOVE the Sexton trade to Rockets. Sexton has been good better than people give him credit for, good shooting splits and output on less than 30 mins per game.
@alex771954 күн бұрын
I HATE the trade because rockets already have Aaron holiday shooting 47% from 3 who is also a better defender than Sexton. No reason to make a desperate trade for a mid player on a terrible team just because Rockets are ahead of schedule. It's not a championship or bust season for them. People think they can steal Cam for pennies just because Rockets are letting him develop in G league due to depth. The reality is that they're hiding a monster from the league. 6'7 20 year old with a 40 inch vert, elite speed, athleticism, & shot creation. shooting 41% from 3 on 8.5 attempts in G league. He's there to learn the game by playing 30mpg that we can't give him in rotation right now. Already accustomed to the pace & physicality of NBA. The opposite of Reed who is already a high IQ player but isn't familiar with pace & physicality so he needs more practice against NBA athletes. Currently, Cam is much better than Reed who gets NBA minutes but Rockets are prioritizing development for both.

Take out Vuc and Cam Thomas and I’ll accept those trades. Vucevic is not a good rim protector and we don’t need another scorer

@WestCoastCheeseHead he's certainly decent, can post up and shoot the 3 which is very rare. They also need some youth and shooting and that is Cam

Ingram puts up big numbers because he is the number 1 option on a mediocre to bad team. Same reason Kuzma put up big numbers for a couple of years in Wasihington and why Randle put up big numbers in New York and why Russell put up big numbers in Brooklyn. But playing BEHIND LeBron and AD as a third option, Ingram won't put up anywhere near those sort of numbers. D'Lo and Rui contribute more to the team than the Lakers would get out of Ingram after this trade... and they'd then have to pay him a giant contract immediately, leaving them no money left to add quality depth. This would put them in a similar situation as they were in after the trade for Russell Westbrook where they gave up two good role players in KCP and Kuzma. The Lakers would be much worse off after that trade... though Russell could go back to looking like a borderline All-Star leading the Pelicans. What the Lakers need is not a condensing of talent. They need a trade or two that involves giving up less-productive players and adding to the core of LeBron and AD and Russell and Rui (and to a lesser extent Knecht and Christie). The matching salary needs to be some combination of Vanderbilt (hard to trade unless he starts playing again), Gabe Vincent (playing a little better now, so he's at least not a negative asset), and the expiring contracts of Jalen Hood Schifino, Christian Wood, Jaxson Hayes, Cam Reddish, and Maxwell Lewis. They have 2 firsts they could trade, plus they have a top 5 protection on a pick that Utah owns, so if they were trading with Utah, they could offer to waive that protection as part of the trade. So, deals like this (not ALL of them obviously, but one or two deals... kinda like two years ago when they swung deals for Rui, Russell, and Vanderbilt: Gabe Vincent and a couple of seconds to Washington for Jonas Valanciunas Christian Wood and a pick or two to Utah for Walker Kessler (possibly one unprotected plus unprotect the 2025 pick Utah already has) Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish and a pick to Brooklyn for Dennis Schroeder Vincent, Vanderbilt, JHS, and 2 firsts to Brooklyn for Cam Johnson. the way to improve isn't to give up two good role players for one good role player.

As a Mavs fan 👎. Klay & Maxi for Collins is crazy. Collins isn't a fit in Dallas. His defense isn't there. We're not trading Klay in the middle of year one. Maxi, Prosper, and 2 seconds for Finney-Smith.

The lakers need perimeter defenders and backup center that can protect the rim while AD is on the bench I don’t get why I keep seeing trades for scorers when they already have more than enough guys that can do that

The lakers should look to get vuc, and cj mccolum. After that they can look for a sexton ect or hold d lo or vandy and pick up role players /buyout. I’ve worked out the money they could trade for all 3 but realistically they need mccolum as he can shoot without being ball dominate if needed

Pelicans have no use for Rui next year, he’d just be another overpriced piece for less than 30 mins a year. But if that the best pick they can get then hey. Also, LAL fans clearly don’t watch NOP games. BI would be a fantastic fit for them, esp as Lebron continues to decline. He’s become a genuine leader and locker room guy in addition to being a certified bucket getter and facilitator. Came back injured for the playoffs last year and had to deal w the best defense in the league and its best defender- he didn’t choke. Just because he isn’t a max player doesn’t mean he’s trash- he’d immediately be the third best player on the team by a mile. LAL fans also forget they’re perennially capped out, so can’t sign FAs of that caliber. The only way to get them is via trade-and-extend. Side note- Franz Wagner out for 4-6 weeks. Anything related to ORL is up in the air now. Love that Kuminga trade.

im sorry but Cam Johnson (no upside) for Jonathan Kuminga (infinite upside) is just a terrible trade there is no way the warriors do that
@xxmemen0075 күн бұрын
Warriors needed to maximize Curry's final few years in the league. Warriors gave kuminga a lot of years to develop and obviously doesn't fit the warriors system at all.
@treymatthews33535 күн бұрын
Potential is highly overrated by fans in the context of value, and if the Warriors are trying to win with Curry they can’t just wait for Kuminga to develop which isn’t even guaranteed to happen. Currently Cam is just a better player than Kuminga with a far more valuable skillset. The reality is that Kuminga is in his 4th year as a forward that still can’t space the floor, and isn’t really that great at anything besides slashing. Other teams aren’t going to find him that enticing, and his value isn’t all the high.
