No he was a non vegetarian. In valmiki Ramayana it is written that when Lanka was preparing their war with Ram, the soldiers had to be fed and it was like a festival of feeding them to give them courage and will power. The charge of making these dishes was on Mandodari and Sita sitting in Ashoka Vatika could taste the dishes just by smelling it. The dishes included roasted meat,grilled fish and spicy vegetables. The story then speaks about Sita telling Mandodari to exchange the spices with what Sita tells to put. And so when the dishes arrived Ravan and his soldiers kept eating it and wouldn't stop atlast Ravan had to stop the making of the food so that his hungry soldiers could scrouch on the vanarsena. And lastly Ravan's father Vishrava remarried a rakhshasa princess Kaikesi. So rakshasas are obviously non-veg😄
