I am 79 and still do my own yard work. I'm blessed with good health and don't take it for granted. I am constantly on the internet with 2-3 devices in use. Reading, playing puzzles, watching youtube, watching movies, listening to music. I am one of those people who enjoy being alone. I grew up alone. My friends have passed on. My cat is my companion. I'd love to have a dog but don't want to do the daily dog walking. Old age is an adventure.

Growing old is a privilege denied to many, in other words we should be thankful for making it there.

I think I at 83 accept the change more than my adult children. They expect more than I can do. I feel that I know what I can and cannot do myself. I’m tired of trying to explain that to them. But I do remember feeling the same way about my mom.

It’s hard when others don’t understand our limitations, but it’s okay to focus on what you can do. You’ve earned the right to set boundaries. Stay true to yourself. ❤️

Old age comes with truths that are hard to accept, but they teach us to slow down, cherish every moment, and love deeply. These reflections are profound, reminding us that our true value lies not in physical strength but in our spirit, love, and the wisdom we pass on."

Beautifully said! Aging brings wisdom and reminds us to value love, moments, and the spirit that keeps us going.

We in the USA rank high in number of people overweight. Cannot imagine walking up 3 flights of stairs overweight!! And to be told we are winded just because of age does not reflect what is really going on. There is more than age going on here.

Nope. If you maintain the machine beginning in your twenties and fulfill things you want to accomplish, and don't let defective units get a long-term hold on you, you don't decline until slightly when you are 80-something. Believe you decline, and don't maintain the machine, and don't do goal achievement, well, maybe you will.
