Way too relatable it's almost sad! Another thing I hate is the "Are you mixed?" questions. So ya girl has defined curl patterns or her hair is long, she suddenly mixed. Oh you're lighter skinned and it's, "Oh whatchu mixed with?" No, the black community comes in different shades, sizes, hair textures, shapes, and everything else. Stop trying to divide us by that. And no, I have never been in a gang, I have never been shot nor has my family, I don't listen to 50cent, I don't know Barack Obama or his wife and kids, I know my butt is small and I do not know how to twerk.

Loved the video!! A few things that also irritate the crap out of me is when 1) people think that since you're the only black girl in the class, you represent the entire black community, ugh! 2) because of the lack of representation in entertainment, since you're black, they think that you've done it all: smoke, had sex, gone to jail or other stuff along the lines. 3) when others get offended because you called them out on a racist comment, -.-! Like, can you let me live a peaceful life, please? Anyways, these struggles will keep on making us stronger & wiser!

This video deffo spoke to me in all those aspects during the different times I've spent abroad, I just got back from a year abroad in Latin America, and one thing that did always annoy me was the fact that people always assumed that I'd be great at dancing because I'm black, especially my host mum who would always make a point of mentioning that mi "gente tiene swing", it is a lot of pressure really. You also reminded me of when people actually ask me why I use sun cream and whether I tan (funny enough a mixed-raced friend (half black)) asked me that.

OK so this is my first ever comment on KZbin and I been watching videos for more than ten years!! Your energy is so vibrant that I had to stop by and say thank you. Your essence is intoxicating and feels good to watch. Sorry you have felt the way you have on all those trips you been on solo dolo but just think you have all those places you liked so when that person comes along in the future and you all find yourselves in of the many places you have been you have gem to share. I know alot people benefit from the truth and the strength you have and share we us all online and in person. Your day is coming where someone will be giving to you. Blessings and comfront I offer to you with my energy and desire for you to be happy. I am planning to visit Japan with a friend in Oct and looking forward to seeing if the things you and others have said about that part of the world is true and I was already planning how I would react if I get the chance to see someone black. Hopefully they will be as cool as you are and if not oh well I have been around them my whole life so it wouldn't matter all that much. I'm lying I may have to let them know don't do that shit! I really am going to see if I come across someone very melanated need to start not saying black ....I will leave that alone but I hope my short trip yields me some wonderful memories and one step closer to going on a dream trip of hitting up Accra, Ghana but hey I got a travel buddy that has been to JP several times and willing to show me around, so it should be fun.

I don't like how society always compares non-Black women to us, claiming they are more beautiful. We also get left out a lot in the media especially when it comes to portrayals of innocence, femininity, beauty, main love interests , etc. That issue also carries over to other countries unfortunatly. Gosh and then being darker skined is a battle against people of other races and intraracially.

1. I can dance but only because I've practiced hard since I LOVE dance 2. I hardly get angry and no one has ever seen me at my worst, I'm too generous with my kindness 3. It's so hard to find makeup and I'm not that dark. As a mixed girl, my undertone is freaking weird and I can't find a shade the will blend properly 4. I have...somewhat of a butt but I hate having a big butt. WHY do people like that? You can barely find jeans that fit! 5. I've hated my hair since 2nd grade when my mom started straightening it and I've worn it straight for 7 years nearly everyday. I'm accepting it now 6. Stereotyping black/half black girls is wrong. Don't get shocked that my dad is as white as a sheet of paper bc bitch I AM FREAKING TAN, not dark chocolate (yum lol) 7. I don't wear braids haha 8. I have average white girl lips...from my dad 9. I look burnt if I get too much sun....lmao I can't tan or I get sunburnt and plus, nothing wrong with skin color but, I don't want darker skin. The thing I hate the most IS! Just because I am [half] black, does NOT mean I say n***a. Does NOT mean I smoke weed or can rap OR only date black guys. I've actually never dated a black guy and haven't been interested in a black guy yet. I have the laugh/singing voice of a white girl because I AM HALF WHITE. Even if I was fully black, this stereotyping shit needs to stop.

I agree 100% minus the make up part since i don't wear it. People look at me mad crazy when i go tanning. Um i am a woman of the sun and my skin illuminates and charges from it, therefore, i am about to lay my black ass in the sun.
