Sean: I recently spent a day shooting B-roll and forgot to make sure my lens was free of dirt and smudges. I didn't notice the problem when I was checking the footage on my camera's screen at the location. I did notice the problem when I got home and viewed it on my computer. Have you ever done that??

Always love your videos. Yep, definitely guilty of #7. I have a rule that I mostly stick to of when I get to a peak I've just climbed or arrived at some other cool location -I resist the urge to reach for my camera (or phone) and spend 10 minutes or so just taking in the view and scenery. Commit it to memory. Notice details, smells, sounds, colors. Take it all in. Once I have experienced it then I get the camera out. I think my shots are better for doing this and my experience of the place is fuller as it's not just viewed through a camera eye piece. Sometimes have to break with this rule like if the sun is about to set and you have to get a move on :)

LOL...#7 was the one that really caught my attention. It's actually number one on my list of the "pre-video-shoot" to-do list:... and that's to spend an afternoon at the location prior to "shoot day". 👍. This will be my first video....Thanks for all the valuable info you give us.

So easy to listen to the tips.....Recently I tried to follow good advice. I found that it is much much harder than expected. Switching from carefree and reckless to actually trying to produce a good video is a hard challenge.

Heyyy, that's Vienna! Welcome to Austria Sean😁✌ I can hardly focus on the tips seeing all the streets i usually go for walks on, hehe 😅There's a ton of awesome locations in Vienna with not many people around. If you wake up early on a Sunday you can even skate through the historic city center without meeting a single person, it can be like a ghost town sometimes! If you are still here and need some suggestions hit me up 🙏

So strange to see your videos in this environment and be able to understand the graffiti or what’s written on the tram 😅 And great video! So important to follow some basic guidelines for shooting b-roll 👍🏻 number 7….. so true haha

Yeah. Last tip: When it comes to shooting in good light/weather conditions(like golden hour or sunset)-and being like not too often at a good spot, it often ends up taking much of the footage as quick as you can. Great video, was conincidentally thinkin about austria today. Are you also traveling germany ? Keep on shredding some good spots

Sean, thanks for the tips. They're great. I've stopped counting how many times the best location was right behind me. All I had to do was turn my head, but no, instead I kept shooting what was in front of me. How lazy can your neck be?

If you wanna see Switzerland too - I would be very happy to meet you in person. I'll gladly take 1-2 days off for you and show you some cool places here in Zurich, in Appenzell and Glarus. Write me on Instagram when you come to Switzerland. Would be very happy to see you and Hanna Andreas & Elena
