3:20 "To show its appreciation for the villagers' efforts, the CIA approved $500 to build a new school." *WHAT?* That's nothing.

I've never understood why there is never placed in these black planes a series of self-destruct explosives that can detonated remotely by the crew after the plane has been downed in enemy territory to prevent back-engineering being enabled.

To all the people saying $500 wasn't enough for a school, that figure was USD in 1975 and converts to 30k baht. Which, according to the World Bank, would equal 82k baht in 2014, and today it costs roughly 50k-100k to build a school in Thailand. So that's enough to build a decent to high quality school in Thailand at the time.

The thumbnail is a Northrop Grumman F-14D Tomcat's fuselage. The aircraft has Variable-Geometry Wings. The Circular piece in the middle is how the wings are swung back and forth. Black? No. Overreaction? Yes.

The RAF Boscombe Down crash was either an SR-72 or an SR-75. Aurora was a name for a funding program for a group of black-ops planes, not a particular aircraft. Both these crafts became operational while Reagan was in office.

How could a plane cost 2 billion dollars a copy, and then were told it's just a stealthy design with a normal jet engine.

The question is is what aircraft that are still classified look like. All of this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the collapsed landing gear entered the cockpit through the floor and killed the pilot, and also that an unmarked airliner (like those which fly between Las Vegas and Area 51) came over from the US to Boscombe very shortly after.
