The OP did a overly generous job at painting the police as competent in Story # 1 but the details of the case paints a different story. For example, the Police were adamant that the suspect wasn't the killer because of his geeky hobby and his relationship with his daughter. Just because he doesn't fit the hypothetical profile of the killer does NOT mean he can be ruled out. And the # of cases from his past and of his ex-wife was completely ignored originally until a more recent incident and DNA evidence was finally obtained linking him to the crime. Like c'mon dudes, you didn't even try initially to research his past. All those cases against the suspect is public evidence. 🤦🏽♂️ It's shameful and frightening to think about how Police investigations did not reach a level of professionalism until the 90s when DNA evidence became a standard way of testing. Before than, the police relied on "gut" feelings, aka doing whatever they felt right even if they're biased or lazy. 🤦🏽♂️ The sheer # of people found innocent over the years and cases were dismissed after DNA evidence became a standard just shows that he quality of work before DNA was flaming garbage and mostly illegitimate.

@@debbiebrookes I'm from the area where the green river killer was active, although I was separated from him by about 2 decades. My driving instructor as a teenager was actually a former officer who worked on the case and he had tons of stories about the guy and his case. He was one of four officers who went to occupy his house after his arrest, and when the killer's cat was meowing at him he refilled the food bowl.

Look at all the women who don't know what their husbands have done as serial killers. The one that amazes me most is BTK's wife. I believe she didn't know. The Green River Killer wife says she didn't know anything, but I think there had to be at least 1 red flag with him and she just chose to be blind. It's all so weird.

Observations: -this guy was more than a packer at Amazon… -Wisdom has taught me, *where there is smoke, there is fire!* When I look at that vehicle and all the money and all the time and all the energy into that lifestyle, it is zero surprise that this would turn out to be the type of person that would carry his obsession into his own real world. As you surround yourself with friends in life, consider keeping this idea in mind. And so I repeat: *Where there is smoke, there is fire!*

There are millions of people who participate in CosPlay and lead perfectly normal lives & yet there are others who are completely "respectable" family men who are deacons of their church or charming law school students who volunteer at suicide hotlines who are evil serial killers. Making judgements solely based off of what activities someone does in their private time is the height of ignorance.

@@kenyattaclay7666 Listen, devil-feller, you’re obviously fixated on the cosplay aspect. My suggestion is that people look at all aspects. When you have someone like this guy, who is head to toe into the complete wackiness, you need to look carefully and use your own judgments, standing there in the real world. I’m not talking about watching a video and making 100% assumptions based on that, silly wabbit..

When people start pulling their heads out of their a##ses, then maybe we will be able to prevent some of these crimes. The first clip, people were 'shocked' that this nice single father was a murderer. WHY? WHY ARE YOU SHOCKED? Have you studied history AT ALL? Anyone, ANYONE is capable of this. We also hear stupid crap like, he (or she) didn't even have a parking ticket, clean record, what have you... ONLY BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT CAUGHT. Doesn't mean they never broke a law or did something terrible sometime in their past.

Impressive that these cases are finally seeing justice, but it also raises a tough question - how many others are still waiting? It’s amazing what advancements in technology can do, but also sad to think about the decades some families spent without answers.
