Thanks for the tips! And below few of my input (mainly for resale unit): 😀 1. Check whether any water leaking from above unit in any possible areas (especially toilet), i.e. check the ceiling or false ceiling. 2. Do little bit homework by finding info about that property and neighborhood from various forums in internet (google review, hardware zone, reddit, ...) 3. About the white goods/appliances/accessories, take note the condition of fixtures items/accessories (attached to the building/unit), such as aircon unit and compressor, hob and hood, water tap, etc..., unless you are planning to renovate and/or re-install with the new one.

Another tip! Check for CCTVs outside your unit - be it pointing at your unit or at your neighbours'. This could be a sign that there are loan shark issues or disturbances and typically, CCTVs need police approvals to be installed.

Can't check noise transmission of upstairs.... Especially at night.
@StackedHomes2 жыл бұрын
That's true! But while it's down to the individual household, it's true that bigger homes would have more noise simply due to more occupants. Families with a lot of children for example could be noisier e.g. slamming of doors in the morning, running up and down the hallway and so on, especially before school. Just something to take note of!

@@StackedHomes my experiences are send like in the middle of the night. Upstairs ( or some where) there are noises like marble dropping, dragging of furniture, running and even water dripping.... Not sure why?

If your lift breaks down and you wait till 2-3am instead of taking the stairs you must be the laziest person or handicapped.

Hi Ryan, can you share how to see if the unit will have west sun? Because some units only get hit by west sun only half a year while the remaining half of the year is okay. Thanks!
@StackedHomes2 жыл бұрын
Hi! You can refer to www.suncalc.org/. Type your address in, and click on the "T" icon on the top left which is the "Toolbox". From here, you can slide the month of the year to see how the sun moves. Don't forget to adjust the time too!

Ryan is right on! 👍 unfortunately, many buyers are snobbish on some regions, e.g. Bukit Timah, River Valley, Novena, etc that are dense, polluted by road noise & priced at no-value-4-money levels! 👎
