My brother-in-law Alex just passed away this morning. He is in the Philippines, so it is night there. It was before I was done work. My wife is crying upstairs right now. I am giving her some time alone. I already took my debit card upstairs for her to get the tickets for her and our son. I thought we had more time, but it was his time to go. Having a good emergency fund makes things like this easy for us. I am going to pay her bills for the month of October, so she doesn't have to stress about going. I have much more than 6 months of savings. My brother-in-law had cancer. My-sister-law and my brother-in-law Larry did whatever they could to keep him going.Alex is the third oldest. My wife is the baby of her family. Her sister is the oldest, Larry is the second oldest, Alex, Clemente, and last my wife. I am glad I learned as much I can and finance 6 years ago. I watched everything I could about budgeting and goal setting. It paid off when things like this happened. Yeah, I could go with him, but I am not into next year.
