Extra tip, when doing trader missions always clear out and loot the house/building first then go back and start the mission. Everything resets so double XP and loot.

1. Level into cooking and farming early. The sooner you can get a self-sustaining food source the better! 2. You can put chests on walls, store vertically to save room! 3. Squirrel away any brass you find. You can use this for making ammo late game and unlike other resources it's hard to find because you can't mine it. You'll thank yourself later! 4. It's nice to have two separate bases. One for storage/ day to day operations and a second for hoard night. 5. You can put the burning shaft mod on your pickaxe which turns it into a makeshift torch to help see in the dark. Hope this helps!

Just to make it out the desert and back to my base I had to eat like 80 yucca fruit to see even a sliver of my hunger satisfied. It’s definitely tough in the beginning.

Thanks for the guide! I learned very quickly you will want to make that dew collector. The materials aren’t super difficult to find/make. It can be upgraded over time to collect more and have it be purified. Also can eventually get a mod for your helmet to filter water from lakes and ponds letting you drink to your hearts content. Put a point in master chef to find cooking books more often. It’ll give you access to bacon and eggs which is much better over the charred meat. I also recommend one point in tracking for animals. When you crouch it’ll tell you and mark any animals nearby. Lifesaver at the start of the game! And like mentioned in the video, make sure to use a bone knife to harvest the animal.

I've been playing this game for 5 years on pc going back to console I feel like a new player having to play with a controller 😂 stumbling around trying to figure out the button combo to scrap that note at the beginning on the game really hit home that I miss M&K. (I know M&K is supported on console I had get some kit so I can use them and it isn't here yet) but in the mean time I feel like a noob again lol. I hope that the people who played on legacy 7 days on console are enjoying finally getting to experience this game in all it's glory. Pro tip if you see a dire wolf especially the zombie Variant and all you have is a wooden club and a primitive bow leave it alone and pretend you didn't see it.... speaking from experience...ouch 😂

As a console player... Yeahh me and a couple of my friends were playing and went into a poi with two zombie bears... The old ones were spooky... But they are a different beast now... Went through like 50 rounds with my pipe rifle plus whatever my friends used up, no clue how none of us died. That was right after the first horde night and I have to say, the hordes definitely feel a lot better now (spike traps last more than a split second is definitely nice too). Feels kinda weird though especially starting out. Way harder to survive (food/water, especially with how fast they drain now, food being way harder to cook, and glass bottles not being reusable anymore). Way less fear of death. Might as well just die when there is hardly any penalty other than slowing you down from leveling up, especially when you can just spawn near your bag. Zombies are more tanky but it feels like they don't hit you as easily as they used to. It's really a completely different game. IMO some parts of the old game were better, some of the new parts are better. Definitely is going to take some adjusting but I'm really glad it's finally here.

As someone that loves difficult survival type games (Dayz, green hell, stranded deep, old version of 7DTD), i never found any of those frustrating at all and actually enjoy the challenges. But something in this new release does not feel right at all, and id be lying if said i havent been disappointed by the water and food situation this go around. It is unnecessarily difficult, particularly with clean water or containers to hold water, to the point that it’s actually very unrealistic. Like How many houses can one possibly go in and find every material known to man except for some sort of water containers or sodas or gatorade type drinks, etc. It honestly just feels like it’s been made extra difficult for the sake of it. But it isnt just that, its the combination of just how much everything else affects your hydration level too. Oh you just found some clean water by some miracle and got your hydration back to a decent level but then ate a baked potato too, well sorry, thats gonna be a negative hit on your hydration even though you just drank lol Outside of medications, there shouldn’t be a negative hydration effect for simply eating

Haven’t found it much of an issue. Just go to one house check the toilet and move on. Can usually find food or dirty water in houses. Keep vitamins for emergencies to drink the dirty stuff or straight from a river or something.

Got a dew collector on like day 15 or something and water is no longer a problem and for food buy from the trader and kill the deer you find and combine it with eggs and you got bacon and eggs which is great then eventually make a farm plot and grow various crops to make the stews when you level up your food skill

I would also recommend all builds put one point in grease monkey relatively early. Helps unlock the motor cycle earlier and travel is much slower before you have that. Spending a little time in the Skills > Crafting Skills section can really help you learn about what unlocks when. Not a bad way to pass the night if you find yourself scaredto leave the base at night while you're still learning.

Yesterday I killed a ridiculously strong/tanky zombie, it had a kinda greyish skin, and took all my machine gun ammo in his head, and a chunk of my pistol ammo, it was very near the starting are, I was thinking that this guy would drop something good, but he didn't drop anything, not even a single bag... The guy was fast af and jumped over cars to get to me.

That is a Wight. They are tall and grey/white colored. If it had glowing eyes it was a Feral Wight. Feral always run so use some kind of blunt weapon that can knick down or a stun baton that can shock zombies giving you time to run or heal whatever you need to do quickly.

Wights tend do either be post-day 21 spawns, high level POI spawns, or wasteland spawns. If you stick to the forest biome, only hit up POIs that are one or two skulls, and aren't too far into the game in terms of days, you should have to deal with very few of them. A good method of dealing with them is to carry spike traps in your toolbelt. When they start chasing you, get them into a place where you can be reasonably sure that they will follow in a particular block space, place the spike trap, and use the spike trap to stun and temporarily immobilize them. From there it's just a matter of meleeing them to death.

Actually, your two best starting weapons no longer appear to be the club and sledgehammer. The sledgehammer still does the most damage out of the weapons. It's weakness is stamina cost and speed of attack, so it's not a good option for soloing a large group of zombies in a tight space. The club is a good all around weapon, but it is somewhat limited in that it usually doesn't get the extra perks the other weapons do. No bleed damage, and less stuns though both can be achieved with added weapon mods. The spear has extra length and can cause bleeding damage though that one is at a lower probability. The bone knife is surprisingly useful now as a primary melee weapon early game. Power attacks have a 100% chance of causing bleed damage. Best of all, the knives have the lowest stamina cost of any of the weapon types. The sledge uses something like 40% of your stamina with a power attack. The bone knife uses maybe 10% of your stamina for a power attack. Late game, the percentage is far less but early game the sledge can leave you exhausted and waiting for your stamina to regen. The knives do not have this issue anywhere near the same level as the sledge. A strategy I've used for groups of zombies when using a knife is to power attack each zombie once to initiate bleed damage and then finish them off one by one after that using the standard attack. Once you get up to the machete you start getting crit damage and decapitations like crazy. The machete is pretty damn OP.

Spear is by far the worst early game thing melee weapon, heck probably the worst melee weapon in the game. MAYBE sledge early due to stamina usage but if you're going for sledge you have a backup firearm or something

A small pass & gas is a great option for an early base to drop your loot when first exploring there's usually a ladder to the roof. It can withstand the first horde night but needs a bit of upgrading.

Heads up! You DO NOT have to do higher tier quests or quests for different traders in order to unlock other traders or higher tier quests. I did the bulk of my quests for Rekt and only up to tier 3 and I've maxed my quests out. I'm bot ready for tier 5 because my weps are still low level( like my gaming skill lol)

Yeah the early level is basicalky stick w a string. The arrow flies a couple feet then starts dropping. Have to aim over their head to compensate. Later levels are good though

This is true and if u need temporary shelter at a POI then it's a quick fix. However building your own doors gives it 1000hp whereas a door already there only has 250hp. Better to build your own. Also remember to destroy the old door frame if ur replacing the doors.

Make sure to check all mirrors first aid boxes and trader for meds, if you find a working chemistry station you can always craft some as well. Otherwise it all comes down to the whole "well just don't get hit" good luck though, also watch for snakes they're small but they can easily infect you and cause bleeds. Again good luck

Pack mule is an absolute waste of skill points, you can max out your inventory with pocket mods and it’s even easier with the new quad mod. Don’t waste the points

Extra tip. You can also get honey just cutting down reg trees also. They don't have to be stumps. I've got about 20 jars oh honey and I've never haven't chopped a single stomp yet. Just trees for my wood needed in the game and looting.

That is available to you if you've read the Wasteland Treasures book that unlocks it. Until then, your best bet is tree stumps. Technically, you can also get lucky and loot them occasionally from medical stashes and Pop N Pills boxes, but that is an exceptionally low probability.

Things that need to be updated in game : It’s TOO many zombies in every single house and building. You can’t even loot or chill for a sec to search without 6 zombies in one place and more coming. The tool belt is delayed you can switch quickly and it’s still on the last item then it switches late The stamina is bad. You get tired tooo fast and unlike the OG game beer does NOT help. Beer now makes you blind and dizzy only using ONE

All your weapons look wet and shiny and all the zombies look dirty like they were laying on the ground something they should have had in the original version however they don't do nothing right with this game one of the things I have had the biggest problem with this game is Traders lips not moving but I think that they're going to have an upgrade in 2037 about the 5th anniversary for Elder Scrolls 6 they're going to have traded lips moving

This game is so boring that I only play the version I bought two years ago on the Xbox series X and I'll keep playing that version but nothing else I mean only because I paid for it I'm not getting my money back so I might as well when I have three or four minutes that I want to waste I could just plug this game in it'll crash in 3 or 4 minutes anyway so it doesn't matter whenever I get bored of Skyrim Minecraft or Halo or any of the good games I'll just break the monotony of the day by playing 7 minutes to crash

That’s a you problem if you’re having problems on xbox that’s also a you problem I have 40 plus mods on pc and it does not effect a single thing. Although I do think it is very stupid we have to pay for the game again. There were a few things I liked about old gen but it had to go bro they couldn’t update the code there were connection issues that made it to where you can never connect to your friend the new version is so refined but there also are a few thing I don’t like.

If you don’t let zombies hit you, you won’t get infections. Otherwise honey is your best bet

I have heard that tree stumps will give honey when harvested as well as standard trees at a lower rate
