The theme about 50 seconds in is so simple, but so effective. It's dark, brooding, ominous but also really sad. Yeah, we have fun bashing zombies online, but if we suddenly found ourselves completely alone having to survive a zombie pandemic, it would be terrifying, backbreakingly difficult, and incredibly lonely. I think this theme conveys that a lot better than the new music does.

This was the theme I heard when I first started playing (Alpha 15). Absolutely loved it, and still do. I enjoy the new theme that came with Alpha 17, but I would much rather have this one be the menu music.

This game perfectly simulates dread and loneness and the three stages of fear ( dread, horror and terror) the fact (with enough time) the zombies would tear through anything presents much more dange because nobody is on watch when your in your base

This takes me back to winter break, 2017. Literally just a 6th grader who found out about the game from my mom's friend's son. He had the console version and I was like "good lord, this shit fire". So I went home, and 11 year old me on my shit box gaming PC for Overwatch went to Steam. The game was on sale for $10 and was like might aswell. This game is almost my most played game, only about 50 hours behind CSGO as my most played. Every update just drags me in and takes me back. Currently grinding out Alpha 21 and its a completely different game, but still reminds of what it used to be.

For me this song is nostalgia, I'll never forget fist picking this game up on an old Xbox of my mom's ex bf when I was about 12 or so. I remember so very much the innocence I had in me, before I became aware of my situation. This music brings me back to the lovely scent of my mother's candles room, when I would just be there playing the game for hours on end. If you look for "7 Days to Die Creepy Noises" there's a short video of a few of the noises, but I don't think it's soundtrack. You might be talking about the 'changing to night time' sting though (which happens every night and not randomly).
