Another nice tip on this game: You can install a mod that gives you a bigger backpack and shows food/water bars in your HUD. Its a nice QOL thing that reduces time wasted doing boring inventory management (and having to open your menu to view your food/water levels): 7daystodiemods.com/bigger-backpack-mod-60-96-slot-with-without-food-water-bar-on-hud/ If you use the 60 slot version it only gives you 15 extra slots, so its almost vanilla like experience.

Recommend doing all the buried supplies quests first: building up the food supply first can save a lot of time later. Before I get the farm going, I try to keep at least two stacks of sham (beef, chicken, pasta, etc are too useful for later recipes, so I try to save them), and, if I get below that, I take another couple of buried supplies quests. Good start to a series!

Idea for other series (occured to me seeing this) The Specialists: start a series with enough XP to max out one skill tree. Maybe it would force different play styles, while still giving a bit of an accelerated start. I too had this idea to max out one skill tree and attempt playing like that, but most of the game is very reliant on a few things in the Intellect skills, such as being able to craft a forge to make iron and steel ingots that make basically everything in the game, a workstation so you can make basically everything in the game, plus Intellect is where you can have skills for turrets so you don't even have to leave your base if you have good enough defenses, like powered electric fences and such.

Yucca Smoothie gives food, and you can use the hunter perk when crouched to see animals on the minimap on top of your HUD. The best zombie trap that I found on the console Is dig a 12 x 12 x 12 pit Put a trap door in the very middle with a tunnel going to two sides where you have your iron bars that you can shoot through and punch through. Whenever they fall the 12 blocks to the bottom of the pit nine times out of 10 they break their legs sometimes they die right away. Make a ladder down to the bottom of the pit And then put spikes everywhere except to your hatch in the middle. So you just have a path to walk to the hatch.

If you can get some basic ingredients your hunger problems will be solved. Maxed Master Chef lets you cook high quality food. Example, boiled egg=5 boiled/grilled meat=15, bacon and eggs=36... spaghetti = 122. And all it takes is a can of beef rations, a can of pasta sauce, mushrooms, water, and animal fat (gardening has a huge benefit in combo with master chef, and with maxed living off the land you'll get 3 from every plant and be able to craft any seed with 5). High quality food also comes with buffs. Sham chowder gives you 80 points of healing. Also I hope you remember that you can craft a crucible with maxed engineering, so you could theoretically go straight to motorcycle or truck. And with maxed salvage operation you're going to get twice the harvested materials. I get enough brass from radiators to keep myself in ammo, and electrical parts sell for more than $8,000 for a stack of 1000 (which you can get from every appliance, computer, light, wiring, etc). Mechanical parts aren't worth as much, but 1000 will still sell for like 4 grand I think. You can also craft antibiotics already, but obviously you need a beaker to make a chemstation. Love the concept. This is going to be a fascinating series.

I mean after all, if civilization ended the hardest part of trying to survive would be the phase 1 survivors dragging you down with them by having no survival skills and starting out higher in number then makes living off the land possible. Many people think the weak will die off first when in fact, intentionally or not, the weak usually take the strong with them first just by being there and usually by wanting to pretend they know what they are doing and that they should be in charge. Or panicking. This is the first chance to level up. Its the storm before the regular rain.

I found this on fb ps4 7dtd page. Good info to go on ***FOR NOOBS*** !! IMPORTANT. !! Repost GAMESTAGE EXPLAINED What is gamestage? Gamestage is the base to how and what spawns in and how often. A low gamestage spawns fewer zombies less often. A higher gamestage, spawns more zombies more often. In the game mechanics, 16 entities spawn within a 320x320 area every game day. 32 spawn in a 320x320 area in a town. (Entities can also be bears, rabbits, chickens, deer) When you are deciding which spawn rates to use, this is what the percentage rates are relating to. The gamestage score is a multiplier of the the original spawning numbers. These will go as high as an additional 200%. Example: In a very high spawn of 150%, you will start in an town with 48 zombies instead of 32. But with a high gamestage, you could be getting up to 96 zombies per day. With a low gamestage, that number can be as low as 12. How does gamestage work? There is a complex equation that is followed to get a gamestage number. The higher the number, the higher the gamestage. Of course everything has a cap. The longer you live, the more multipliers you get. The more you kill, the more you get. When you die, all the additional multipliers to your base gamestage are reset. Every 50th day at 6am, the gamestage is reset, however you will have permanent mutlipliers to your base gamestage. This is sort of like a prestige mode on a tycoon style game, to give a closer reference to how it works. Horde night/bloodmoon: The gamestage is what makes the spawn number for bloodmoon There will always be a set number of 16 for bloodmoon, but again, the higher the gamestage, the higher the spawn rate. Our record with myself and one other was 478 in a half hour blood moon. The formula: The gamestage for multiplayer and private matches are based on the host and the player with the highest score on that server. For solo play it is just the host score. The days both players have survived added together, multiplied by, the number of days alive bonus + game difficulty bonus. You then take that total, and multiply it by the two players' scores, added together. Confusing right? Host score + player score (days alive X days survived bonus + game difficutly bonus) Difficulty bonuses: Scavenger-no bonus Adventurer-0.1% Nomad- 0.2% Warrior- 0.6% Survivalist-1.0% Insane-1.5% Days alive bonus: Multiply by 3 for every 50 game days. 150 days would be 9x not 27x Everyday that you survive with a higher gamestage, the game will literally try to kill you with more special and stronger zombies. If you are surviving many days without dying with a low gamestage, you will see more non zombie bears about. In my theory, this is why dog days happen. People with high gamestages seldom see dog hordes until after day 35. Final thoughts: It is important to understand how gamestage works. I may edit this post 100 times to help make it more understandable. It’s a tough topic to cover. The bottom line is, the more you kill and the longer you stay alive, the more zombies will spawn to try to kill you. In my experience, with some very skilled players, 135 kills a day with a maximum of 3 deaths in 50 - 2 hour days, gives you the highest gamestage. But you need to cover a lot of ground to achieve it. A map with a few towns is good. You can rotate two towns everyday and still have fresh spawns. The higher the game difficulty, even though the multipliers are higher, you will never get a large spawn rate. It takes too much to kill the zombies, thus creating a lower gamestage, leaving you with a dull and frustrating game. The best way to achieve max spawn is to stay with 150% spawn rate on adventurer and increase the difficulty every 7 days stopping at warrior.

being maxed out definitely makes the game easier: your ability to care for yourself, craft, trade and build are greatly increased plus if you consider the fact that the game difficulty is calculated based on a combination of things, one of them is the length of time in the world(Day ##). Still an interesting idea and probably a fun way to play every once in a while. For me it takes away a big part of the longer term fun though because it reduces one of the greatest rewards in the game, leveling up. Doing this as a challenge type could be interesting though. Like, Can only use a certain set of weapons and hordes every 3 days on a higher difficulty could be interesting.

I've been waiting for a series like this. Some skill trees never get used in most series.

if you want skill points without levelling for whatever testing, check out Rev678's admin skill points Mod on the 7dtd mod forums. Basically can spawn a 'quest' paper that grants you various amounts of skill points 1, 10, 25, 100, 250 and 354 if I remember correctly. Also nice for making your own open ended class system.

Yucca Juice Smoothie actually gives you water and some food, should have bought it out of the vendor

Hey Glock if the regular biomes become to easy in this series you could think about making your base in the wastland and trying to servive. Even with max skills it would still be super tricky! I have done a little bit in the wastland, and it gets really crazy when you are getting almost hord night waves of zombies every night, even with max skills! Just a thought, up to you. Keep up the hard work, and thanks for the content!

Great idea, looking forward to this series. When I started watching 7d2d videos a couple of weeks ago I was really hoping to find a "high octane" series and wasn't able to find one. I think this has potential!

Interesting concept. I look forward to seeing how this series pans out. I speculate that initially it will be challenging. Once proper armor and weapons are acquired and there is an accumulation of goods and ammo, it will start to get easier.

I really like the idea. Its like being a special forces soldier in the zombie apocalypse.

I am digging this new series. Since your maxed out in animal tracker, just crouch and some animals will show on your compass.

Refreshing series. Maxed out. Makes it look easy but with the gamelevel like that its still hard

Love how you purchased the dog food instead of the pears hahaha Must've been craving savory, not sweet.

Oh man, that junk yard was the very first base I ever claimed in 7 Days. Love this series. It'll be interesting to see how your base design differs from my ideas.

Pretty cool start for the series. I definitely would be toting the M60 around for the rads.

Mr. Glock I’m not sure how much you like this series but personally I love it! I have already learned a lot about perks I never knew about. I may just like this because it’s a Glock9 video but either way. 👍

Well done Glock, great work. BTW: I'm not sure, but think their is maybe one weapons bag and one purse in the phone tower...as well as a few birds that jumped Capp00 in one of his hoard night survive in a random POI videos last month.
