Little known fact. HP ammo in Rebirth adds dismemberment chance, which helps to trigger rampage. Nobody uses them in Vanilla, but they are well worth it in Rebirth. I usually grab HP for non-horde night/wandering horde fights where they aren't always in a line.

@@yanramos3376 Well it's all about what you feel is better. Being able to penetrate some of their armor or have a chance to instantly kill them with a headshot. On tainted zombies which have a ton of HP and regen, I'll go with a higher chance to instantly kill them, even if it's not super high... but it's a personal choice.

Tip from a fellow loot goblin: encumbrance does not matter while in/on a vehicle, so I carry a bunch (4-5) large containers such as dumpsters on my vehicle, drop one outside a poi and map mark it. Loot poi then drop loot in dumpster, move to next poi. When done for the day, go back and collect all loot from all dumpsters and all dumpsters, passing by trader on way home to sell then stash. This has really helped speed up cash flow and resource gathering.

By the time you read this you probably know...but info in general for those who might not....muffled connectors reduce noise penalty..but light armor doesn't have that so it won't go on them. It goes on medium and heavy to reduce the noise penalties those armors have.

Looks like you unlocked the speed boost from collecting cassettes. Little shoe icon above your beer when listening to tunes. I noticed you also unlocked Steel Axes. A bit more rough on the old stamina than iron, but i feel the extra damage makes up for it. Ergonomic grip helps a bit. You know, in the considerable amount of time I've played Rebirth, i didn't realise or notice that yucca juice only requires boiled water. Thank you for that. Gonna significantly change my drinks priorities. Many of the items that arent pick-up-able is mostly because Ramsay hadn't had time to set them as such. He has significantly reduced the time it takes to pick up items when holding E and added a lot of items to the pick-up-able list for the next update. Those tvs and possibly that cool bear rug.

Muffled would only work on armor which have a noise penalty. Light armor has no penalty.

I know this is very subjective and is mainly determined by personal preference but I have a few observations on class choice for beginners..mostly meaning me. OG already pointed out the ammo issue with Soldier class. My first game (I lost through a corrupt save) I played Hunter. i like bows but in the Purge a single shot rifle really doesn't cut it and you can't rely on stealth when you get these sudden hordes that know exactly where you are way before you know where they are. My new go to class is Butcher. Machete and AK47 right out the bat...which uses far less ammo than the M60. Go the extra mile to make Hi power ammo for it and even in the early stages you are pretty balanced in both melee, and ranged. YMMV.

For farm lighting lanterns are working well right now. No need to set up generator. Generator would only be worth of gasoline if it works as heat source too. Haven't tested does generator give any heat yet but lanterns I can confirm. For bullet casing problem you might want to craft 9 mm ammo crafting bundle instead of 7.62 mm ammo crafting bundle so you will get 90 x casing, tip and powder instead of 50 x casing and tip and 150 powder. All depends what you need badly and what can you get easily.

Oh yeah? I didn't know the lanterns could be used. Ramsey used powered lights in his video. Very good tip on the 9mm ammo as well. Really useful comments my man. Thank you!

@@TheBeardedOG One other tip, because we try crazy stuff - the light doesn't have to aim down. You could always place it on a plot the way you did your campfire. Or on your dew collector (though that might look a little janky).

I think it's a sound plan to make hi power ammo..it only costs an extra bullet tip per round, and hits a LOT harder...which saves ammo in the long term. edit: as soon as i made this post you mentioned in the video the armor piercing ammo. I decided against that because it needs the gunpowder, which could actually make another round for me. I think the weigh up will change later as the zombies become harder to kill but where I am right now Hi power is good enough

I have recently learned that HP does not dismember bosses. That being the case, I will keep AP ammo with me.

Still enjoying this playthrough quite a bit. And I see your struggle - I wouldn't want to try to fight a sprinting horde with an iron axe either. I don't know if you're already using them, but are you using those melee fragments you get to make axe books? Might be a good way to bump up axes since you can't melee as much as you might otherwise want to. Also, to reinforce what Ramsay said - I almost always run straight HP through end game. I carry AP for armored zombies, or if we're in a horde situation and I want penetration - but day to day it's HP. The higher chance for headpops alone make it worth it, but they're also super cheap compared to AP. Running straight AP is going to be very expensive, and you probably don't get that much of a benefit unless you're firing into a line, or against a very armored zombie. Just something to consider.

@@TheBeardedOG The downside to using different ammo for the soldier is the awful reload time. Every time you want to switch you have to reload and the M60 is just SO slow. Also all things considered, maybe park the mini bike out by the hay bales. If you have an 'Oh Crap' moment you can jump out and onto the mini without worry about stamina and with more speed available. As a plus you wouldn't worry about some dumb Zed tripping over it and deciding to destroy it. Where do Power cords shop? At the Outlet Mall.
