Hey OG!! I started playing my game the same day you did. I went into Berzerker class which is strictly melee and I'm unable to use any firearm. I have encountered two of those massive herd events but because I was given a machete and a baseball bat I was able to get through them. My FPS went to about 30 and I have a pretty beefy rig. Those events are worth clearing because you get a lot of cash/ammo as well as the DNA sheets/book fragments from the dead zoms. So glad I told my ego to stfu as I was adjusting my game settings lol. Also, don't forget to turn on the wifi in ALL your containers for broadcast crafting. I think I'm going to use the bunker at the Honey Farm to set up shop for a while because I don't know what to expect with the tornados and just fortify the fencing outside. Enjoying the series!! What a great view from that tower!

Thanks for the comment! I will kill my first big-ass horde in episode 7. Main issue for me has been that I have them on a fast speed and I don't have enough stamina to kill them all with the axe before they overwhelm me and I won't have enough ammo (until episode 7) to use the m60 to kill them. That all said, I am having a blast with this mod so far. Sounds like you are as well! An underground bunker sounds like a good choice to avoid the tornado but do make sure you have a back door exit lol! Thank you for watching and commenting!

Hey there, just a helpful hint. The storages have built in broadcasting so you can craft from them. All you have to do to get it to work is turn them on. At the top there is a wi-fi looking button, just click that to turn them on. Nice work and liking the series.

52.19 - i think it's the tree density setting, your building is next to forest area. Mod default is 300% more trees than vanilla. I had problems until I turned it down to 150%

Hey OG! Remember when I mentioned in the comments on episode 1 to “watch out for animals in town”? now you know why! 😊😊 Also, you had two vitamins on your toolbar (S1) the whole time before finding the third one at the end of the day. The only lag I noticed was at the apartment complex when you changed your graphic settings; other than that, I didn’t see any issues! looking forward to the next one!

There’s so much to this mod-it's definitely the best one I’ve played so far! and the nights are soooo dark, this game has given me so many "jump scares" over the vanilla - loving it, keep up the great work mate 👍

Just a heads up. That specific poi you are using for your base glitched on me in one of my saves. I went out looting and that same spot where you put your storage crates had fully collapsed. Never had it happen again though. I’m case it happens lol

I am loving the purge. I was a bit leery at first due to I love to quest,, but I have found I am enjoying going house to house clearing it out from zombies then looting and clearing it all. I am still a bit confused on how to level up and how the DNA boost and those round things work. I have a dex thing I cant read says I need to level up dex first but confused on how.. but it is fun learning as I go.. however, those hordes even set at lowest setting when they pop they pop tons. It lags my game so bad, never had that issue at all even at full blood moon zombies turned up.. Hopefully he will fix that,, but overall, it is a nice change of just questing. fun to see all the new gadgets we get to use in the game.

Yeah I wasn't sure about continuing the Purge at the time I recorded this video (I just finished editing episode 7) but it is growing on me and I think I'll stick with it in spite of the lag. Here's the way leveling works from what I've been able to gather... Your class skills level by using them. In my case, machine guns and axes. There's no other way to level them. These essentially replace the perk points in vanilla in regards to getting better with those specific weapons. Tool skills (and to a lesser degree, non-class weapons) are also leveled by using them. After reaching a certain point, the game will tell you when you can craft the next higher level. This replaces the jank magazine mechanic in vanilla (which I don't care for) Your attribute skills become available for each level you gain but you still have to buy or loot a perk book to actually unlock them. It's a bit different than vanilla so takes some getting used to. You can also craft genetic mods that will provide further benefits. Don't take all that as the gospel truth however. I am still figuring this out myself so I may not be 100% correct but that's how I think it works. Thanks!

When trying to hit a zombie through a hole in the door, I have found it easier to just use a standard attack and not a power attack. It increases the hit rate of the zombie over the door by about 80%. with the door keeping them away from me, I have the luxury of not pushing a power attack

I haven't run into any game breaking bugs so far. The performance issue isn't really a bug. Just overpopulated POIs.

Ideally you'd have a second computer with a video capture dongle to do the recording. However that's not free. You can also check into option in the recording software you're using or perhaps other software to find something that works better. The number of zombies in some of these poi's seems very high. I could see 20-30 in that high rise, not 120.

That would be nice but I threw down several thousand $ and built my current system last Spring and I can play Satisfactory or 7 Days vanilla and render a video at the same time without skipping a beat. I don't think it's my machine.

@@TheBeardedOG It's likely that trying to run the 'AI' for that many zombies at once is overwhelming the cpu. If you're on zen5 there is a chance the 9950X3D would solve or at least significantly improve things, but I doubt it'd be worth it for just one mod on one game. And of course if you're on a 14900k there has to be worry about degradation, just make sure you're on the latest bios and hope that's good enough. Best of luck, perhaps a patch or update to the mod will happen soon and fix things. I'm enjoying the series, it's good.

@@kaseyboles30 I have a 14,900k. The damn thing was too fast for it's own good when I installed it on default settings and was causing me all kinds of grief. I finally came across some information to lock in the cores and once I did that, it has run flawlessly ever since.

I've had 40 zombie+ hordes since I recorded this episode. I also found out how to quickly and easily kill them all fast. Let me know if you want me tell you but it's very simple. 😉

Did you know y9u can sound the horn/ring the bell to get in to the traders without dismounting? This works on all but Rekt, who is a grumpy old so and so. You need bartering 1 for him to let you in.

I assume it is partially because you have a massive 21:9 monitor, but can I ask why you choose to upload in widescreen as opposed to 16:9? I will continue to happily enjoy your videos regardless, however I do find it somewhat jarring to have a 2 inch black bar above and below the video

It’s not partially because but entirely because I have an ultra wide lol. I know some people don’t like it but I can’t afford at this time to buy a new monitor and I don’t want to give up the ultra wide anyway. If you’re on a PC or a phone, viewing in full screen should help.

@@LittleJonn3490 it’s all about ratio. It’s not possible to capture the full screen of a wider ratio and down scale it without either letter boxing, cropping or distorting the image. If I recorded in 16:9, the sides of the game screen would be truncated and you wouldn’t see my stats in the lower left corner for example.
