One cannot find refuge anywhere on the forsaken lands. Though construction and excavation may provide temporary shelter, and flight or transportation a fleeting escape, the dead will always give chase, relentless in their pursuit of life upon which to feed.
Whether by foot or feral impulse they come, those glowing orbs that were once windows to the soul now only harbor an insatiable craving. No corner offers safe harbor from that which awaits around its turn, where horrors long banished to nightmare have made their unholy return to reality.
