7 Diamond T Trucks Highway Cadillacs

Just a quick look at our old Diamonds collection. I have been collecting since about 1989. The 1959 Cabover came from the Mohave desert ,Ca. and the 1952 came from down in the canyons of Clear lake, Ca. The Green 1963 came from stilwell,ok. The1957 came from Lamar, mo. The 1966 came from just outside of lincoln, ks. The 1947 509s came from just south of Hayes, ks. The 1967 Dump Truck came from Joplin, Mo. All run and drive except the 57 which runs very well but chassis had been cut off. And the 509 has a stuck engine. I'm always looking for another addition if affordable. send me an email. My Dad bought a used '66 Diamond T with the aluminum frame in the early 70's. 6-71 Detroit straight 6 that would scream up to 2500. Stretched it, added a sleeper and extra fuel. Drove that truck for 20 years before he retired. I put many a mile on that truck myself. Last time I saw the old T, it was a water well drilling rig.

My Dad owned one of those aluminum frame '67's! It had a 238 Detroit & 10 speed Eaton. He bought it in 1972, stretched the frame, added a sleeper and ran mainly Texas for 20 years. Truth be known I put about 30% of those miles on her myself nights and weekends. Last time I saw the truck it had been turned into a water well drilling rig. But she used to be the terror of I-45!

Greetings from the Ohio Porters.🇺🇸 I love that you have such a good selection of Diamond T rigs! They each have such a cool history! 😎 My dad started driving trucks back in the 1930s and had a big variety of the old trucks. He did like REOs, KWs, Federals and Internationals and owned quite a few when he was in the transfer business. I have his 1951 REO now. 🥰 I love the old trucks and have such an appreciation for them because of my dad. Love the cabover! Cabovers have always had a good place in my heart, but there’s always room for a sweet conventional. I shall check out more of your videos! Keep On Truckin! 🇺🇸✌️

I know it's an old video but I just found your channel today. Want to say thanks for sharing these videos of your trucks, it helps me more than ya'll could know. I could never afford a Diamond T so, believe it or not your help comes in allowing me to at least see these trucks...then I design & create metal RC replicas of them. I just started posting on YT 11 months ago, so have not completed my first project build series on a Diamond T yet, but am very close now. I'll be watching your videos quite a bit, I can see that haha, thanks again gor the videos & your descriptions of your spectacular trucks!

What is the best trick to get one unstuck from setting a few years

well they tell me that Kroil oil will chemically eat the rust away and free it up easily afterwards... sounds logical but i have no experience with the kroil though... i just used wd 40 in the chamber above, removed the starter and used a large bar on the flywheel.. have used that on alot of stuck engines and always seems to work.....

a red diamond I believe, flat head straight 6. the old 66 has a new interior and a good overall cleaning. we have a vid of it coming out of the barn and puttering a bit, I believe if it could talk it would say, I'm happy!........... LOL

bigtnman...Red Diamond was an International engine...flathead six in a Diamond T might be a Hercules...I think Diamond T used a lot of Hercules engines in their early days...the 968...969 WW2 military Diamond Ts used a Hercules RXC 529 cubic inch flathead six...

Hey I'm in south jersey with a 71 diamond reo tri axel with 120,000 original miles any one intrested truck has to go but to beautiful to scrap ... 290 Cummins turbo Eaton trans still runs and drives very heavy duty truck not one rust spot on her ... like I said I dont wanna she her goto scap
