I actually made the parrot for our pumpkin carving contest this year! The pumpkin was carved to look like a birdcage, and I secured the pineapple parrot half in/half out of a door to the inside of the pumpkin. I carved a red onion to look like a flower bowl inside, toasted the pumpkin seeds, and placed them in the red onion bowl to make it more 3D. All of the Club members voted that mine was the best and I got 1st place! Here we are on New Year’s 2022, and many of your carvings are plated up for tonight’s party! I have one plate left to work on and I think I’ll go with my parrot again! I can’t believe I used my filet knife for most of the carving, with the help of my Kamikoto lightweight paring and Santoku knives. Gracias Señor por todos instrucciones!!
