I made a solid 30g between every AV pop just mining/herbing in Alterac Mountains this weekend. The queues were only like 5 minutes, but I always got some Wintersbite/Goldthorn/Fadeleaf/Grave Moss (1 singular node)/Mithril Ore/Iron Ore before joining a game, and I made sure to grab the Frost Oil/Ice Deflector patterns from the limited stock vendors for extra pocket money. And yes, I really made around 30g in 5 minutes between games. Literally 0 competition in this farm. AV itself wasn't that great g/h, because I was trying to maximize rep gain and actually play the game instead of farming there, but I made sure to be the fastest looter on every single NPC kill and each game ended up being around 25g of pure profit (mostly from greys/Runecloth, but I did loot 3 blues and a bunch of greens). All in all, the AV grind itself was a net positive endeavour for me simply because I followed the old adage of LOOT EVERYTHING & SELL EVERYTHING. Simply grinding AV rep ended up being around 52g/hour for me, which -- while not great in terms of gold farms -- is nothing to scoff at. Considering the grind takes like 20 hours of pure grinding, that's a solid 1040 gold on the side. That essentially means I got my AV mount + epic items for free. I like playing the game, so I have never actually had the need to farm any gold. I pick herbs, I grind dungeons, I loot everything, I disenchant what is worth disenchanting, I sell what is worth selling, I vendor what makes sense to vendor, I sell when prices are high, I buy when prices are low, I don't pay for useless stuff... And, voilá, I have more gold than I can ever even dream of spending! I even bought my friend a Lionheart Helm and Titanic Leggings just because he said he needed them. Why not? I'm never going to find a way to spend my cash purely for myself. P.S. Also looted a Swiftwind (35 rare xbow) from a chest in Alterac Mountains while gathering nodes. The current market price is around 40g, but I still haven't bothered to sell it.

So I'm on Pagle (alliance) and been making bank farming the Essence of Air in NW Silithus (where thunderaan happens) - they're super fast respawn timers so even on populated clusters it's enough to have 3-4 players running around with plenty to kill. I'm getting 1 in every ~10 kills and they're selling for 50g per right now.
