i was just going to comment on something like that. i think its important to take the base into consideration. i love bright colors so im prolly going to go in with a bright white base to amplify that color but if im doing a warm smokey eye or a neutral nude eye , then the warmer eye base is a great idea. i have this liquid eye shadow frem wt in wild called camel and it is amazing as a base for those warm caramel looks, but i usually stick with my 16 hour camo for my rain bow looks

Jamie honestly makes the most useful makeup videos on here, I literally use every technique and they seem so subtle but the difference is crazy

I really appreciated that you kept emphasizing that the other look wasn't bad, just different. I feel like I'm constantly shifting from technique to technique depending on the style I'm going for that day. Sometimes I'm going for soft, "natural" skin glam, sometimes I want a rainbow look that goes out to my temples. I don't feel like it's particularly helpful when people discredit certain methods of doing makeup as "bad" without taking into account the look that technique is designed to achieve.
