For the Korean Noodles it's actually a dry version, which means you boil the noodles, drain out the water, and then mix in the other stuff later As for the Ham Cheese Toasties, at 7-Eleven they have a toaster for it (like a George Foreman grill I think you guys call it), but I didn't see if you put it in the microwave or not, if you did, that's okay but not the best way to cook it. It's one of the best menu items in 7-Eleven regarded by everybody who comes here to Thailand
@OnePackWanderers2 жыл бұрын
We knew we messed up the noodles 😂😅 You're right that the toasties are a lot better at 7-11 when they heat them up. We used it a microwave and it wasn't quite as good. Those little grill things that have are so cool!

The energy drink M150 in Thailand they are called M100 ( M roi ) However, the energy drink called Red bull is a Thai brand (made in Thailand) before go worldwide by an Austrian company. THe drink you thought was a ginger ,it was actually The Panax (ginseng) with Lingzhi .The peanut called broad bean or Fava bean..
@kamolhengkiatisak15272 жыл бұрын
There were M 100 and M 150 depending on the quantity (100cc vs 150cc). For the last 20 years, they no longer produce M 100 anymore. Historically, the energy drink came from Japan and the original brand was Lipo Vitan D, Thai people call Lipo in short. Later a Thai Pharma company introduced Kathing Daeng (literally Red Bull) for the local market at cheaper price of 10 baht around 50 years ago with heavy TV advertising, hinting that it gives energy especially lasting you a long time in love war. So Red Bull dominated Thai market for over 2 decades. An Austrian salesman came to Thailand about 30+ years ago and stumbled upon Red Bull and liked the favour and energy boost and convinced the Thai brand owner to co-invest with him internationally with him owning 51% while the brand owner owning 49%, effectively giving the Austrian management control. He made it popular worldwide. The Thai market is still under the Thai owner's jurisdiction while internationally, the Red Bull takes over. However, 20+ years ago M150 overtook Kathing Daeng in the Thai market to be No.1 ever since. The ubiquitous 150cc bottle energy drink still sells for 10 baht for the last 50 years

The coffee club is an Australia chain but being took over by a Thai company now they own majority of the share, The coffee club got over 400 outlets in 10 countries. BTW redbull is originated in Thailand and Thai company still hold the share the international red-bull but Thai red-bull in Thailand is different you guys should have try cause it still 100% own by Thai company so it tastes like what Thai people like to drink.
@OnePackWanderers2 жыл бұрын
We knew Red Bull had origins in Thailand (though it seems an Austria company is responsible for developing the international brand). We'll definitely try the Thai version! In the US we don't really drink it because it's usually 100 baht or more.

My God ! This just brought back so many memories for me and my wife, as we were watching the video. The Coffee Club of Century Plaza was our breakfast place almost every day, when we stayed at On Nut for three weeks in December 2019. It's quite impossible to pass a single day in Bangkok without walking in at any of the zillion 7-11s. It's like even if you don't need anything, you walk in to make yourself buy something 😂😂. Thanks to you guys for showing us the titbits of BKK, as honestly can't wait to go back to that amazing city. Our love and best wishes to Tia, and we hope that she gets well soon. If you guys ever plan to visit Bangladesh, do let us know. Would be lovely to meet you guys. Take care you two !! Have a great trip ahead.

You are so right about the 7-11s 😂 They are just so easy to walk into and sort of 'explore' all the neat little things (and enjoy the air conditioning on a hot day) Hopefully Thailand reopens soon, so you two can come back to BKK! @@OnePackWanderers Hi, A single favourite place is difficult, but I’d probably choose Chiang Mai. So much to do there. We enjoy cycling and walking (like you do), and there are some great places to walk or ride to. The Monks trail that takes you to the temple have way up to Doi Suthep is beautiful, as is the bike ride out to the reservoir east of the town. Singapore is beautiful as well, though a bit more expensive. My favourite single day was probably visiting Angkor Wat in Cambodia. You’re very lucky being there now with so few tourists, we are due to go back in late October this year, and are visiting Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Can’t wait.

I think the ramen might be the dried type one? I think you're supposed to boil the noodles first then mix it with the sauce (with no water), that way it will be hot. But if you wanted to try the real deal hot korean noodles, the "Buldak Bokkeum Myun" is the most famous one. The snack you've eaten is a broad bean. Most people like to eat along with beer. The "ginger" drink is actually ginseng drink. It is kinda both medicine and drink since people drink it mostly for health more than taste? And for the sandwich, 7-eleven has a griller that can grill it for you, that way you can give the justice for 7-eleven sandwich lol Hope these can help you get more information for what you guys have eaten!

There are many stone castles, including Prasat Phanom Rung and Prasat Muang Tam in Buriram, Prasat Hin Phimai at Korat. You can also see natural wonders such as the Naka and Nakee cave, which you have to climb to see rocks that look like giant snakes. including the vast Khong River that separates Thailand, Laos and Burma.

Even more impressive that M150 has kept its 10 baht price all these years! That must be an intentional decision of someone in control, because with inflation it surely doesn't turn the same profit as it did in 1970!

Sorry to hear that your back is playing up Tia. 7-Elevens are even better in Japan. It’s great to hear that you will be exploring Cambodia. May I suggest that you also add Laos to your travels. It so much more laid back than Thailand. Luang Prabang is a most see, as it is the most delightful town/city in SE Asia. Traditionally the way to get to it from Northern Thailand was to take a boat down the Mekong. However at the moment tourists can only enter the country via the Thai Lao Friendship Bridge or Vientiane’s International airport. It is only two hours from Vientiane to Luang Prabang by the new high speed train, compared with 9 or so hours by bus. There are no direct flights from Chiang Mai to Vientiane, so you have to go via Bangkok. A cheaper option is a flight from Chiang Mai to Udon Thani. From there take a transfer to the border. Another option could be take a bus and break the journey to see the famous ruins at Sukhothai, before going onto Udon Thani. There used to be a 12 hour overnight visa run bus from Chiang Mai to Nong Khai, from where you can get to the bridge, but this may longer be operating. From Luang Prabang you could take a side trip to even more laid back Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoi Neua on the Nam Ou River.

Thank you for the suggestions! It sounds like you are quite familiar with the area 🙂 We thought Laos' borders were still closed, but it seems they may not be. Definitely looking into Laos now!

i have done some further research and found that I had missed the requirement that tourists can visit Laos only on a pre-booked tour. I assume it is the governments way of restricting tourists to areas with high vaccination rates. So that's Laos out of the picture for independent tourists. My apologies for getting your hopes up. So I guess that leaves Cambodia. Keep an eye out for the big fried spiders on offer at roadside food stalls.
@OnePackWanderers2 жыл бұрын
@@johnprattley945 We also arrived at the same bit of information 😭 No worries at all on getting our hopes up! We tend to periodically check the border status of all the nearby countries anyway 😂 Both excited and maybe slightly weary of trying one of those grilled spiders! 😂

There are some weird 7-11shops in Thailand. And there's also something that you might not have thought that 7-eleven in Thailand would have. In Bangkok, around Pak Kret area, there is a 7-eleven. located in front of PIM University It is a university of a company that directly owns 7-11 in Thailand. has made a trial shop that can be accessed will be 7-11 of the future There is a place for you to sit and eat coffee. You can buy it from the ground floor and heat it yourself in the microwave of the customer on the 2nd floor. and another branch is in Pattaya It is a 7-11 that has a co-working space that you can sit and use for free all day. But if you want to use the high speed wifi of 7-11, it's only 49 baht per day. Most of Thai KZbinrs come to make clips of challenges, often living in 7-11 stores 24 hours a day at 7-11 Pattaya branches. And some 7-11 stores will have freshly prepared food for you to choose from. There will be a food menu near the staff's microwave. When you order, the staff will cook for you to eat fresh. It's like a street food restaurant.

That's so cool! If we're ever in the area, we'll have to check it out. Coworking space at 7-11 is something we thought we'd never hear 😯

Recommend M-100 or Redbulls with less sweetness and adding fizzy. try mixing "Singha" soda water in your preferred portion. You'll get the kinda of a canned carbonated Redbull in the west for THB 10. 😊

Around my house, within a radius of 1 kilometer, there are 4 7-11 stores. I don't go there much because I prefer to buy groceries. for a while We help to campaign for the general public to buy products from small shops to distribute income in balance. Do you know what product is the number 1 income for 7-11? It's a soft drink in a dispenser. If the price is 20 baht per cup Its cost is only 2 baht. for foreigners 7-11 is very reliable because it is convenient. Easy to find and good quality product at reasonable price. The good part of 7-11 outweighs the disadvantage. And I just wanted to ask you so much What am I typing this long for? hahaha

We use an iPhone 13 Pro. It has something called 'cinematic mode' which is software-driven bokeh. Definitely has shortcomings but it's excellent for our uses, and much more lightweight than any dedicated camera. Thank you for the compliment as well 🙂
