I'm the most dramatic person I know, I hold the worst grudges but am very affectionate, I am OBSESSED with disney, I basically have a reddier and a bit shorter version of your hair, I play guitar and sing, I read so many books and I love drama and wish I was in theatre. I can relate to you so much, i am currently doing my GCSE'S and just done my non calculator paper today!! Really hoping i pass!! I wanted to take it early to focus on my other subjects, like English lit, music, drama and media. At the moment don't know how i am going to get through it all, but hearing that others survived year 11 helps ALOT! X

I love using paint chips as bookmarks! They're sturdy and colorful...and I have a ton of them ever since 8th grade when I wanted to paint my room but had no idea the color combination.

You can do it!!! I didn't think I'd pass I'd and I was even allowed to drop PE because I struggled so much with the workload and I got an A*, so you're probably stressing way more than necessary. Just do what you can and stay hopeful! :)

Just to give you some perspective, in Australia we start schooling with and optional Kindy at age 4, then another optional Preprimary at 5. Then year one up to grade six, 6-12. Then you go to high school. You continue until year 12, when you will be either 16 or 17 (depending on the month you were born). After year 12 you graduate and go onto university/TAFE.

I call it secondary school too. Sixth Form and College are kind of different, staying on at school for year 12-13 to do a-levels is classed as sixth form. Where as college is where you can do courses but usually also you can do a-levels.

A friend of mine, from whom I learned calculus, started university without knowing his multiplication tables; and beginning with practically nothing, (by very hard effort and repeating some classes) went on to very advanced math for a mechanical engineering degree... I always admired that!

Most places in this country call it secondary school rather than high school but for the most part high school is from 11-16 which is when we leave school before going to college, which is usually 2 years before university. Some schools do 11-18 though :)

Pretty much yeah, in the UK we have a two tier education system basically meaning we're in primary school from ages 4 or 5 until the age of 11, and then move on to secondary school (the equivalent of high school) from ages 11-16, though some schools do 11-18 (the extra 2 years are sixth form.)

I can honestly say I don't know. I like that the UK makes school after 16 vs going into a trade more of an option, because that in general is good for the economy and makes college/ universities cheaper. High schoolers in the US are pressured all 4 years to go to college (I dunno if you're American, but college=uni here), and then made fun of if they choose not to. But some go and don't use it and waste several thousands of dollars. All HS is here is college prep. But I've never gone to UK HS.

its the kind of the same here in Australia but years prep (preparation) - 6 usually aged 5-11 is primary school and years 7-12 usually aged 12-17 are high school years, then we go to university.

I'm terrible at maths and i'm 14. Mainly because i switched schools (primary) when i was younger and missed loaads! I'm hoping for a C at GCSE's so hopefully i'll be okay! Nice to know that someone else has the same issue! Great video btw Carrie:)

I'm in ninth grade and I still struggle with my times tables. That causes me a lot of stress and math class because I'm always worrying about whether or not I'll be picked to answer a question. :/

I went to high school not knowing lot of math skills. I went to two primary schools. The first one failed to teach me anything and the second one, I'd already missed all the learning. I'm still at high school and I still don't know multiplication without a calculator.

yeah, we don't have middle school. we go to primary school from the age of 4-11 and then we go to high school from the ages of 11-16 and then you can either choose to finish your education, go to collage to do your A levels or continue in the high school 6th form and do your A levels there. then you can choose whether or not if you want to go to university to do your degree :) x
