Hi. I think this is a similar case to a door facing another door (at the end of a hallway). The advice there was to put something on the floor - a plant, a small cabinet, etc which will block the flow of energy from going out (the other door). In your case, it's the sink/ water. You can put a small table/ cabinet/ shoe rack near your entrance door. You can also watch the vids on feng shui by Julie Khuu.

Hello! Thanks for your comment. South is associated with the second daughter and the Horse zodiac sign. If only 1 daughter and no family member belongs to Horse zodiac, the negative impact is relatively small. But a house without missing corner is much better for a balanced flow of energy

The more I learn about this philosophie the more I feel opposed to it. Balance and happiness in life, peaceful living, earning honest money, love and friendship and all that is part of our life can not be based on techniques and superstitious nonsense. Common sense and refined wisdom are more valuable and most of all a connection with our spiritual part. I was redesigning my house floor plan in relation to this info but I discover a lot of contradictions and plain nonsense. Find the harmonie with-in yourself and be content.

Feng Shui basics ARE common sense, though. It's the extra details that make it difficult to understand and contradictory. A lot of those details have accumulated as rules over the hundreds of years feng shui has been practiced, rather like how the truths of a spiritual outlook accrue superstitious details over time to make it into a religion.
