1. Loulou is obsessed with food. She has this feeling so strongly. Nothing is safe. We can never leave any of the food on a low table because she takes it. She has once emptied trash bags. Loulou will eat herself to death, she won't stop. 2. She likes to swim when it is hot outside. She doesn't swim for long but short stretches to be with us. 3. She is gentle towards other animals, not a hunter. She does not hunt for animals. It's not in her. Also, sparrows wanted to be around her in the garden, just like the ducks. She is very calm. 4. The only thing she doesn't eat is lettuce. She always tries but doesn't eat a crumb of it. She doesn't like it. 5. Loulou can run very fast. She is faster than Coco, but Coco has more energy. Although Loulou also has an endless condition. 6. Shark! Loulou is fast and greedy, but never hurts me. It's not aggression. When I say 'softly' she takes it softly, but she quickly forgot that. 7. Nicknames. Yes we have the most weird names for her. She listens to all names.

I also have some nicknames to my dog babies - schnauzer Pixel is called sometimes Pimpuś (it is hard to translate to English but it is word for someone cute and sweet), Pickles, Clamor (he loves to bark loud) and Ripper (like in Harry Potter series). York mix Sisi is very often called Pippi, Pest, Babe and PeePee (when she is angry she sometimes pee at home), sometimes I call her Piglet, because she is obsessed with treats. Both react to nicknames 😀

Love to watch these beautiful babies! We got 2 Black and Tan dachshunds, smooth hair, last Saturday! They are 8 weeks old. Lots of fun. They do not have all their vaccinations yet so, they are quarantined in the house and no visitors to bring in viruses. We are very careful. These are #3 and #4 that we have owned. Our #2 lived almost 18 hyears. We have enjoyed these little guys so much. Both are boy dogs who will be neutered when at the right age. They were born January 1, 2021. It is difficult to find Black and Tan, smooth hair dachshund p$uppies in the mid-eastern part of USA. The asking price is very high. Too much for me! We were very lucky to find out little ones! They are fun and so glad we found them! Thank youfor sharing your videos! Love to see them always!💕🥰🇺🇸USA

I love Loulou. Her personality, her physicality, her gentleness, her expressions when you try to trick her with lettuce, how devoted she was with her pups, the way she loves each of her family-humans the most but ducks and fish and sugar gliders and rabbits. For me , the most adorable side of Loulou is her kindness with other animals, it's incredible! She has this super sweet expression with the baby ducks and the rabbits!! Dachshunds are natural hunters and they are all obsessed with smelling around, hunt and eat!! Loulou behaves around other animals in such a friendly- protecting- self controlled way, I'm just amazed. Love her :-)

Hello again from Texas yes Loulou is a very special dog. She was the first she learned from a early age and grew up around small animals. Her life was calm she did not have to share you guys or her life with other dogs. Now Coco is always keeping her on her toes. And she is so different from her mama. Coco is a bit wild in her own way. Very curious and nosy. Loulou is a great dog she has made you proud. And did real good first time mommy too. We all love your Loulou and Coco. Soon Summer will be here more trips to the beach too. My Spikee RIP was obsessed with food too. However, we rescued him from the woods. He was quite badly abused but under our loving home he lived the rest of years happy and always searching for something to munch on lol 😂 trust me he was well fed! Some doxies are just like that❣️🥰🇨🇦

I took in several strays, cats and dogs. I fed them well and used vitamin supplements (some of them showed up in dire need of all the help they could get). They were all extremely concerned with food, but generally relaxed in one to two years. One dog was obsessed to the point of selfishness and gluttony, and never got over her fear of hunger. Even after she ended up being the only animal, with no possible food-dish competition (which I didn't put up with anyhow, and she was usually the culprit!), she still worried about food. I tried, but I couldn't give her enough love and snuggles, bones and treats to completely reassure her. She became less frantic, but still obsessed, as you say. She was a terrier-mutt, no dachshund. I think it's more their experience of malnutrition, near starvation, and being alone than which breed (or even species). But as you learned with your dear Spike, there's nothing quite like watching a fearful, scruffy, skinny animal become energetic, healthy, shiny, and playful. Best stuff I ever did.

Loulou is such a cool little dog. The first time I saw her, along with Coco, running loose I held my breath to see if they’d come back. When my dachshund/corgi mixes were young I didn’t dare allow them out off leash. They would’ve taken off down the street, which they did every time my toddler grandson opened the door for them. They’re old now so they don’t run off anymore.
