if a trader has long term winning records, why would they wanna work for you. They can make the money for themselves

Leverage. People generally don't have huge capital to start with. Prop firms can offer you trading accounts upwards of 6 figures. Some prop firms offer 80/20. (You keep 80% of the profit you make out of their accounts)

You make compelling arguments Jay but if you are good enough, you can make that 6 figures on your own though and continue from there.

@@outerspace6448 Most prop traders never leave because it isn't just the leverage that's attractive. It's also the environment and social circle you're in. You make life-long friends with folks that genuinely motivate you due to having similar mentalities...and the ability to bounce ideas off of, etc. It quickly becomes a tight-knit family which is a treasure in itself (nohomo of course).
