That adjusting the clutch thing saved me! I thought i had to park my mew RG until something was made for it. My husband stumbled upon that solution just poking around the bike and bam! It was fixed. Called numerous dealers, technicians and aftermarket companies explaining my problem and “no one knew” how to help me. Instead they wanted to sell me services and products that would eventually come out in the market. No one told me it was just that clip. I’m still so ticked off at that gate keeping. So thank you for saying that!

Couple little hacks not mentioned. 1. Adding a $10 USB Bluetooth mic from Amazon and adding it in the device manager will give you wireless Apple Car Play every time you start your bike. 2. If you add the garage door opener, two quick pulls on the left side controls trigger will transmit the opener without having to go through the menu every time.

Another hidden feature H-D doesn’t mention in the manual is the ability to activate the cooling system fans on-demand. This is accomplished with the engine not running and roll to full throttle for a few seconds. So if riders are in stop and go traffic, they can stop the engine momentarily and activate the cooling system fans constant-on and help keep the heads cooler.

You should talk more about the rear suspension options. Dealers do not pre set your bike suspension to your size. Most bikes go out with softest settings and can bottom out. Even a seasoned tech does not usually set suspension. They set mine at max and the Unloaded rear, push down into my brand new exhaust so I had to re set all and find the happy spot. Harley adjustment chart is way off of what is really needed.

Partially true. Google has a list of "minimum safety requirements" that a vehicle must meet before they'll grant a license for the manufacturer to add Android Auto support. Somehow Indian has met Google's vehicle safety requirements and have been granted approval for Android Auto, but Harley and virtually every other motorcycle manufacturer has not made Google's cut. I don't know which safety requirements aren't being met or what Harley would need to change about their bikes to gain Google's approval, but still.

If the battery was at full charge before parking it, I'd definitely take it to the dealership for warranty inspection/service. Although I've only had my 24 RG for a couple weeks, it did sit unattended in my garage for several days (against my will) and it fired up no problem. Well, that's a lie, I grabbed the wrong key fob (for my truck) once and thought the battery died. I hooked up a charger only to see it had full charge which is when I realized I'm an idiot.

I had the same issue. Upon delivery of my bike the radio/stereo no longer worked. Dealer came back and picked up my bike (too much winter here to ride), apparently a wire came off the amplifier and there was no sound coming through. Dealer technician contacted corporate to report the issue to determine if there was something further to be done. Apparently, on top of this there was a second update to the OS that needs to be performed. The glory of buying a new model!

I don’t know if you live like 500 miles away from that Harley dealer. Maybe it would’ve drained your battery, but that battery was dead when I left the fucking shop it was not on a tinder and people were playing with them all the buttons and it had a dead battery just maybe enough to start the bike because the security is not draining the battery that fast. I had the same thing with my bike sitting on the floor, playing with the radio, trying to figure it out and killed the battery and sales people neglected to put it on a tender.

The idea that a/the Dealership’s management/owners obviously DO NOT GIVE A SHIT when it comes to PHD Training and attention to detail in the PDI process says volumes! This is yet another reason why I decided on becoming a HD Indee (Magee’s Garage: Repair-Refurbish-Recover) so that my customer’s bike was not tied to FRTs, Corporate Bureaucracy and Owner-Management Greed! Oh! And DON’T get me started on Automotive Groups buying out Local Mom & Pop HD Dealerships as they represent a CASH COW not equaled anywhere else in the transportation-space!
